Overall positive

Overall nice hotel; however, the door lock didn't work and the AC needed to be replaced, so we had to be moved to another room. Pluses: coffee machine was available at any time; homemade salsa with chips was also pretty appropriate. The room is great: authentic look, nice matress, pillows, freedge, microwave were also there.

A Great Stay

El Pueblo Lodge is an old motel just a 10 minute walk from the plaza. It has been renovated very nicely. Bathrooms updated, southwestern decor. Their breakfast is included, and is very good.

Disappointed

Not sure how on earth this place has such a high review score. The room had a dated decor, old fake wood flooring, and an odd mix of furniture, including a super cheap PVC coffee table that cheapened the room. The grounds are nice and the hotel has potential. But the walls are surprisingly thin, and I could hear every noise from the big family staying next to me. Not worth what I paid and I wish I'd picked one of my other choices. Positives: - Large room and comfortable bed - Good breakfast - Nice outdoor areas Negatives: - Loud furnace - Smokers in the green area in front of my room - Odd mix of decor that didn't suit the price I paid - Very cheap fake wood floor that needs replacing - Could easily hear every noise from the neighboring room - Terrible internet and not good for remote work - Counter stools are the wrong height for the counter Could be a nice hotel if they made some upgrades.

El Pueblo rocks. Whether you are on a budget or loaded, the hospitality is UNBEATABLE. The rooms with fireplaces are amazing and beautiful. The breakfast is a no miss must to be delighted… When we checked in we were offered VERY GOOD unlimited bowls of NM HATCH GREEN CHILE stew, outstanding.

Highly recommend El Pueblo Lodge

I love El Pueblo Lodge. I've been visiting Taos for over a decade and won't stay anywhere else. The staff is so friendly, the breakfast is amazing, and I enjoy relaxing in the room with a fire going.

We loved our stay at this retro hotel. Location was great for our itinerary and a short walk to the plaza. Road construction was a small inconvenience and hopefully it’s completed before summer tourist season kicks in.

Comfortable Stay

Old Hotel but clean and room was big. Quiet. Views are amazing. Breakfast was awesome. The only thing i was not fond of was the door to get into room . But the front door does not seem to be secure enough. Gap under door, and u could shake the door and it would rattle.. just seems if someone wanted to get in they could.

We have stayed here multiple times. The staff and awesome breakfast are outstanding. The location is ideal to access the town for shopping and restaurants. Our only minor complaint is the furniture and carpet needs a refresh.

Actually clean if you offer

El Pueblo Lodge is a large complex with a courtyard open space are (we went in winter and didn’t utilize it). We stayed in the upstairs room with a fire place which was huge. The breakfast was a nice touch and appreciated before skiing. We were told they did not have capacity to clean our rooms everyday which was fine. We got a phone call the next day offering to come clean which we accepted. When we came back skiing it had been vacuumed but there was a trash bag on the bathroom counter and a bunch of wash cloths but no body towels. They hadn’t cleaned the toilet or counter and sink. Why offer then?

Excellent Accommodations and Friendly Staff

We loved our stay! The room was comfortable and clean, breakfast was great, and the location was great for walking into town or driving to the ski mountain. The front desk staff was also very helpful and friendly. Would love to stay again!
