The worst hotel ever

This is the worst hotel you could get in Venice. Be prepared to check into the rooftop bedroom, of which hundred of mosquitoes would be flying around and disturbing you over night. Oh btw, no air con is available and there’s a lot of stairs. I booked two nights but sadly none of the night was free of mosquitoes. It was simply a NIGHTMARE.

I booked two nights of this hotel, but hotel took me another building in the first night, and the building is beside the dark and narrow street, that is not acceptable, but the hotel was full that night, I didn't have choice at all. Then I requested to change back to hotel another night. The overall experience is not good.

Hotel room clean and comfortable, clean towels provided every day. Very dark this was due to Venetian decor and the fact it was at the back of hotel, no daylight. Air conditioning very much appreciated. Breakfast Ok not much selection.

Ao chegar no hotel para check-in, o atendente nos informou que o hotel estava com problema no encanamento do banheiro e nos trocou para outro hotel ao lado. A limpeza do hotel deixou a desejar, como também as condições do quarto que cheirava mofo e estava bem sujo. A única parte boa dos dois hotéis foi o atendimento, os dois senhores que realizaram os atendimentos nos dois hotéis foram solícitos e muito educados!

Le Point positif c'était l'emplacement, on juste derrière la place san Marco La chambre était propre mais on sent l'odeur des canalisation dans la salle de bain. When we arrived, the receptionist was rude, unprofessional and gave us horrible instructions. She said our room was at the back on the first floor. She didn’t walk us there and we were lost, when we got to the building, it was not on the first floor. It had over 25 steps to a 2nd floor without an elevator and we had elderly with us & a ton of luggage. When we asked her to help us find it, she kept repeating “first floor” over & over. After 3 minutes she said I’ll take you but you have to wait. She made us wait 5 minutes for her and she wasn’t doing anything. When we got to our room, the door handle fell. We told them and they didn’t say anything about it. The air conditioner wasn’t working, there were tons of mosquitos that kept biting us all night. The only nice staff were the 2 ladies running the breakfast. The lady at the receptionist was the worse part of it all. We felt so unwelcomed and we’d never go back.

Hotel was centrally located near San Marco square, close to waterbus stops. Tons of restaurants and shopping in the area. Room was a nice size but decor had seen better days. One big problem was the room had a lot of mosquitoes and when I told the front desk attendant he said there was nothing they could do it about it. He did tell me where to find a supermarket to get mosquito repellent so I ended up getting 3 plug-ins for the room which seemed to help keep us from being eaten alive. Air conditioner did not cool the room, no matter what we tried and I closed the windows to keep the mosquitoes out so the room felt warm. Breakfast was quite simple, not much variety but good coffee. Mosquitoes are everywhere in Venice so I recommend you bring repellent.
