The staff was very friendly and efficient. The southwestern decor was very nice. Our room was comfortable and clean. A couple of rooms down the hall from us were being completely remodeled, so the hallway was a little messy because of that, but it was nothing serious. Iced tea was available in the pantry and we appreciated that.

Kiosk for check-in super annoying

It’s good for the price but we absolute hated the process of checking in on a screen instead of with a person. When we had a question about something we had to try to figure it out with limited info at this kiosk rather than, you know, talking to someone. Super unpleasant start to the stay.

A worthy stay!

Beds were comfortable, everything was clean, centrally located, love how budget friendly it is as well as being pet friendly. Staff was so-so on info and friendliness, I had to ask what times the breakfast was available and had to find where it was located on my own, was easy enough to find at least. Plenty of breakfast options and they offer two types of burritos as well which aren't the tastiest but they are complimentary, they offer green chili on the side as well, and they're hefty enough to get you full. I'd still recommend since there's more pluses than minus. I'd definitely come back :)

Not a good night's sleep

They have a system that you check yourself in. You know I was having difficulty there was no one to help me. Hallways work extremely loud all night people walking up and down banging on doors yelling. 6: 45am they were doing yard work right below the windows that lasted until about 7:45. Then at check out I wanted a receipt and was told just put the keys in the basket they didn't give out receipts.

Wet spots on the carpet. I could hear the full conversation from the people roomed next to me, while wearing my headphones. They stayed talking until 1AM… I requested and paid for a late check out. House keeping and front desk staff came banging on my door and tried opening it. Because I fell asleep so late (thanks neighbors), I was awoken to all this commotion. No apologies either. Your staff needs better communication, your booking system needs to be updated to include a manifest of all late check outs or multiple night guest, and finally your staff needs to be trained in customer service. Terrible experience.

Very hip, clean room however the bed was terrible. It was like sleeping in a hole, literally trying not to roll off. All we needed was a good night's sleep before a long day on the road. This wasn't it!

Loved the lobby decor

The staff is amazing! Everyone was so nice and friendly! The hotel is clean and offers a small but decent gym. The shower has good water pressure. My only complaint was that the televisions in both rooms were not working. They could be turned on but couldn't connect.

We so appreciated the welcome we received after a long road trip from Tucson. The dog and child-friendly atmosphere was most appreciated. Our room was a tad small, and there was no view, but the breakfast was the best I've ever had at any American hotel. We very much enjoyed this wonderful boutique hotel. The staff was the best!

Construction mess in hallway was tolerable since this was a lower priced hotel. Room was worn out even though they were redoing the rooms. But hair in the bedsheets and stains are gross. I asked for a different room. And again, hair in the sheets. I asked for a refund but was told to contact Expedia/Hotels.com. So I did and they were great. They had to call the hotel to verify and the hotel had their phone on silent!! It’s been 8 days and I still have not received my refund. Will never consider staying here again. Really bad experience made worse by lying about a refund.

Decent stay at a nice location!

The Coyote South was a fun, affordable, unique stay! Located a short drive from Downtown Santa Fe, it was comfortable and cozy. The breakfast burritos - amazing! Our only negative would be the cleanliness of the room.. a couple hairs on the bedspread, molding near the AC that was peeling, small things. All that said, this was a really enjoyable stay overall.

Rooms were great. Staff friendly and helpful. Noisy guests. Must be remodeling. Hallways and stairs could use refreshing. Sorry to see guests not picking up after their dogs. Hotel has bags/trashcans stations for pets. Location good for food and other hotels. Terrific value for money for one night stay.
