Great Job Super 8!

I reviewed several Kerrville hotel comments from around the city before I decided to stay at the Super 8. I read many positive customer service comments from Super 8 which I later discovered were well justified. Tammy at the front desk was outstanding! I had lots of questions concerning local things to see and she had all the answers. I give this hotel a 9.9/10 score. Their breakfast did not include scrambled eggs with bacon/sausage, so -.1 for that. Other than that, this hotel delivered all the attributes I would expect at this price point. Also, as a bonus, you can sit down on their bench outside their office, look up and clearly see the Kerrville "Empty Cross" on the hill as you can tell in my photos.

Disappointed, gone downhill

Place has gone downhill! Cleanliness was questionable. Used soap and shampoo bottles left in shower. Called front desk to notify them. Did not offer any accommodation or room change. Asked to leave at noon on check out. Cleaning staff was knocking at our door by 10:30, then calling us at 11:20. Water pressure was really weak as well. Which was surprising because that is one of the reasons we usually stay here. So disappointed
This was not ours! Was already in the shower when we checked in.Staff did not thoroughly clean!

Check in staff was hard to communicate with. Not that friendly. Seemed just read a script , not sincere . Check out staff insulted me , I played along , thinking she was joking, however the more we talked the more i felt like she was not joking. Pictures showed a better facility. Place was old and in need of updating. Our room had caulking missing in the bathroom.. There was a wercked car at the back of the building.. It was clean ..even though the rate was discounted, I expected better..

Welcoming staff and very clean lobby. Hotel common area lay-out was very clean and welcoming. Room was very clean and plenty of coffee to enjoy. Lodging price was worth the money and felt safe with my family.

Big Roach found in room. Shower tub chipped and not great presentation. Pipes coming out of wall and knobs loose. Opened Gatorade bottle found in fridge. Other than that, the people working the desk were great.

The lady at the front was so kind and they had breakfast from 6-10am! Which is a plus! The bed pillow cases, flat sheet and fitted were clean. BUT The fleece blanket had a cigarette burn hole and red nail polish stains. The comforter had some stains and had fabric shredding. I was not a fan of the carpet, it felt old, saturated and dirty. The microwave was very old and yellow with what seemed to be rust. The furniture could use a good wipe down bc of foody fingerprints. The AC worked well and finally got cold about 2am. There is a gap in the door frame to where I could see light outside. This allowed the heat to come in and cool air to escape. It also made outside noise seem like it was in the room. I could hear people walking outside. Playing music and getting into their cars. I didn’t sleep well. Tub and toilet could use bleach for the dark spots around the caulking. Overall the price for the room was very budget friendly. It’s in a great location with nice staff. It just needs a big renovation update.
