Don't book here!

At over $100/night this hotel was a compelte disaster. Even at half the cost it would not justify staying here. Room was disgusting when we showed up. There were stains on the lightshades, the room smelled, the floor was dirty, the sheets were dirty, the windows had dead bugs in them and there was a dead bug squished into the carpet. They changed rooms and it was just as gross, so we cancelled and found another place. If it tells you anything, the front desk didn't sound at all suprised when we cancelled and the othe rhotel we called said this is not the first time someone from the Super 8 has called and said the same thing. Highly reccomend staying somewhere else in town even though its more expensive, or go a bit further down the road to Salida where you can get a similar priced hotel that is clean and comfortable.

Solid motel without breaking the bank

The Super 8 was very clean and the facility itself is very cozy. The staff was very pleasant too. I wish their tv was a little bigger for the size of the room. The sheets were paper thin, so it was hard to stay warm without having to blast the heater. The heater/AC is very dated and need to be upgraded.

the toilet had poop spackled over toilet bowl and bottom of seat...bed comforter had multiple stains on it...the chair in room had big stain on seat cushion...took a shower and curtain about 1.5 inches too short, had to use towels to clean up bathroom floor due to water spilling out of shower...

Great value & conveniently located

I've stayed at the Super 8 several times over the years & it's very conveniently located only a block or so from the downtown Buena Vista area. I always walk to the restaurants. The hotel has nice amenities including an indoor pool and hot tub. I also appreciate the free parking & wifi. Thank you.

Bleh, comfort inn next time

No body at registration for over 20 minutes, had to call for service. Desk clerk was almost rude and unfriendly Bathroon/room sink was disgusting and did not darin. Had to remove plug and clean out the gross hair and grease balls to get water.flowing Heater was very noisy, old pizza crust in corner by bed. Carpet not vaccuumed.

Watch out for night shift man!

We stayed here the whole week of Christmas for our very First Family Christmas Vacation! Everything was fine except the young man that checked us in and worked nights. He seemed to be bothered by having to put his phone down to tend to people. I get it we all love to play games on our phones but if you’re working that should not be your top priority. He was very annoyed that we checked in online with a different persons card than who was on the papers for the room, we are married I didn’t think it was a huge deal but apparently you can not use a different persons card the names have to match. Then we also asked for trash bags as the room wasn’t going to be cleaned for 3 days and we have kids and christmas gifts, he was annoyed and gave us 1 small trash bag that would hold just the trash, he said he didn’t know where bags were. The next day we asked the morning lady and she reached under the desk and gave us 2 large trash bags, again Night shift man could not be bothered while playing games on his phone. Overall things were good, my only complaint is the young man that worked nights and checked us in. The pool was good and the hot tub did look a little cloudy but overall we would stay again if needed. Also he said we could not park infront of the building only on the side by the road, which is not a complete issue, except we are disabled Veterans and I have medical devices that had to be transported to and from.
