Freezing room! Couldn’t adjust thermostat!
Disappointing. First of all, this hotel did not live up to the pictures. The pictures made it seem more recently-updated…but it was NOT. Our room contained a rusted toilet paper holder, the bathroom door was all discolored and marked up, and there were many other “aged” and rundown things especially in the bathroom. The BIGGEST frustration during our stay was that our thermostat was NOT ADJUSTABLE. We were freezing and could NOT get the room to warm up. We even reached out to the front desk, and the lady was kind to walk down and look. Nothing was fixed but she offered us extra blankets for the night. If you’re staying here, I wouldn’t count on a breakfast. It included muffins, cereal, and if you wanted something warm, you had to go to the front desk for a sandwich for you to heat in the microwave. The wall behind the bed looks newer and makes the room appear somewhat updated. But the bathroom is a complete letdown. The mattresses were comfortable. But just know this is simply a place to sleep, nothing more. And you can’t count on a comfortable room temp. Instead, we slept with pillows on our heads to try to keep warm.
