Horrible

Got into fight with Mario the night clerk I paid for king size bed. And called desk to check in and that we would be in late around 10pm. Mario told me when we arrived they are no kings size beds. I got upset. He said he could call the police and and have arrested for trespassing Talk to my wife apologized to Mario. Cancelled our reservation. Mario said we would receive full refund in 5 days.

MOLD

When we checked in, the first room we were assigned smelled like mildew. On closer inspection I found white fuzzy mold covering the back of the box springs facing the wall (photos attached). The front office staff moved us immediately to a newly renovated room that was beautiful but informed us that the old ones were the rooms purchased by third party hotel sites to rent cheap. In the new room, the TV was not connected to any satellite or internet. The “breakfast” consisted of waffles (which WERE good), Cheerios/Froot Loops, and white bread. While the second room we were assigned was satisfactory, it’s horrifying that the other rooms are still being rented in an inhabitable condition.

DON'T STAY HERE IF YOU EXPECT ANY HOT WATER.

In fairness, the hotel was being renovated. However, upon arrival I quickly realized this was not a ground up La Quinta that I've stayed with in the past. I believe it was an acquired property by Wyndham and rebadged La Quinta. We arrived late in the evening after an eight hour drive and If I had not prepaid for the stay, we would have sought accommodations elsewhere. The Good - Rooms were brand new. everything was clean. The Bad - Parking was chaotic because of all the material and equipment taking up a lot of space. The beds were ROCK HARD. I've slept on softer ground cover in the mountains. The next morning we discovered there was no hot water or water pressure to shower. You turn the faucet all the way to hot and water would not flow. The hot water was turned off. The light switch to the shower/toilet space was ON THE OUTSIDE of the space. The in-room coffee maker could not be plugged in because the furniture it was on was blocking the electrical outlet. This La Quinta should NEVER had been opened until it was completely remodeled and passed code inspection.

Make sure you request a newly renovated room! We had a brand new renovated room. Everything in the room was brand new and very clean. Smelled like paint a little bit after a few minutes of airing it out it was fine.The tv was new but hooked up wrong, but the guy came to fix it. Beds are hard and new but luckily we all ended up sleeping good on them. No dresser or drawers for clothing. They have nice staff. Lady at front desk was very nice, Hotel is under construction and lots of mess outside from that but nothing was noisy or loud. Included : Make your own hot waffles for breakfast, 3 cereal , juice, milk, bagels, toast, hot sausage links. Nice dining area. Great for travelers needing a rest

Excellent for the price

Great hotel close to Nashville zoo. They are in the middle of renovations so it's a little dusty but the new room is absolutely beautiful. Spacious, nice bed and beautiful bathroom and shower.

Hello, The front desk staff was not friendly at all. When we walked into the room the very strong stench of urine hit us in the face. Honestly, it was as strong as cat pee. The carpeting had big stains on it. Everything felt coated by a layer of grease. The headboard had oily hand and face prints on it. This room was so disgusting that we immediately waled out and asked for a full refund. It was horrendous.

YIKES!!

Hotel under major renovation and it’s a mess!! The staff, in general, were pleasant… but the manager is rude and completely inhospitable. I had extended my stay for several additional days and paid online, but awoke at 11am the day of the extension to have the manager violently banging on my door, then letting himself in, demanding that I come to the office to re-check in. I’ve never ever been treated so rudely in ANY type of hotel around the world.

Roaches!

Roaches were immediately visible in the room with several dead in the sink. We left the property and were promised a refund by the desk staff but hotels.com has been unable to secure it after 4 days of trying. We will proceed with bodycam footage of the roaches and La Quinta staff promising a refund if it is not received

DO BETTER

Ive stayed at numerous Wyndham hotels and have been happy. This one not so much. The room was dirty. I had cleaning stuff with me and wiped everything down. The floors were filthy, my socks were black, the walkways hadn't been swept in awhile,one ice machine very far away. There was a spring sticking out of mattress and holes in sheets.The staff at check in and out were very nice.

Nightmare at Hotel!

We arrived & construction was going on, our room smelled of chemicals, there where bugs, no plugs for devices, totally outdated, sheets where dirty we complained & asked for a different room he did offer us one & that was worse! Definitely NOT like the pics on the Hotel.com app! We moved to a different hotel! Grateful I took the insurance!

Never again

We checked in and had to leave the first room. It smelled really badly and we were shown three more rooms before we chose one that didn't smell as bad as the others. We drove five hours so my son could have a chemo treatment at Vanderbilt so the cleanliness was of great importance. The premises were undergoing renovations but the rooms meant for occupancy should have been clean and fresh. We have stayed at numerous La Quinta Inns but this not at all up to the chains normal standards. Terrible inside and out.
