bad experience in the hotel as they double charge

I am so disappointed that I booked through hotels.com and have prepaid the accommodation fees. But the hotel has twice charged me the accommodation fees on my credit card for second time and did not solve the problem. They even provide me a billing details with the charge of credit card. I am confused. I do not believe this hotel and hotels.com. As they did not make me feel comfortable.Bad experience.

My stay was terrible. I chose this location based on positive reviews, but when we arrived, the entire hotel had an obnoxious odor. When we got to our room, there was no fan in the bathroom, and I could hear and smell the guests in the next room relieving themselves, as it seemed the vents were connected. There were dead flies all over the room as well. The thermostat was not connected to anything, as the temperature in the room stayed the same for our entire stay. The first night we stayed, we were woken up to a fire alarm at around 1:30-2 am, which then disrupted our entire next day of activities, and no explanation was offered. After the second night we stayed, we were getting ready to leave, and we noticed that the toilet was clogged from normal use, and I could hear the tank running consistently. We called down to the front desk to get it fixed, and they said they'd send someone from maintenance. We waited for 20 minutes, and no one ever came, so we went down and talked to the front desk as we had reservations and were already running behind. Eventually, the toilet did get fixed, but the room still smelled like a sewer when we returned hours later. When we were leaving at the end of the stay, the maintenance team was using the guest elevator as a freight elevator, so we were again put behind schedule because we had to wait for them to unload mattresses and bedframes. I highly recommend it quiet and peaceful location

Our room was excellent. Having a bedroom separate from the living and kitchen was nice and having a sofa. bed. So our daughter could sleep on that way me and my wife, each had a bed to ourselves. Having a full side fridge with a ice maker inside was nice. So we didn't have to go find any down the hall. Breakfast was good , the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Started off bad, but ended well

The first night was not a good night one of the full-size beds mattress felt like springs actually like cardboard then the refrigerator wasn’t working. Water was leaking from the freezer to the refrigerator. Maintenance came and said oh it’s broken in the back and I’m assuming that stove icemaker line so we had to stay in the room the first night because there were no more rooms available but in the morning, I went downstairs and we were switched to another room and it was great. Love the customer service.

This hotel is run down, all furniture is beat up, the a/c was run down, did not operate properly. My room in particular has not been updated in years. Not worth the money. Employees at the font counter, all 3 of them, did not speak good English.
