The evening manager ( large man) was so extremely rude and actually condescending as I had mistakenly made 2 reservations and his verbal attitude was short of appalling! In my personal opinion he needs to either be suspended or made to take a hospitality and learn the proper way to interact with customers! The only other issue is the “continental breakfast” as there wasn’t a thing except a bowl of cereal stale doughnuts and juice and yogurt… when every other continental breakfast at least has eggs , this past experience has soured my decision to stay unless said manager isn’t working, the other employees have been pleasant and very welcoming when I stay which is usually once a month and the rooms are always clean and comfortable and that I certainly appreciate.

After staying here for the first time last year I was absolutely impressed with how clean everything was so I’ve been booking here since and always satisfied however this time I almost turned around and walked out as the night manager couldn’t have been more rude and unprofessional! I had made 2 reservations by mistake and he was verbally disrespectful and acted like I the guest was putting him out just being there my suggestion is make it mandatory that he cleans his personal appearance up and retrain him! Sadly this experience has made vow not to stay here anymore unless he isn’t working as this was in my opinion the best hotel in Raton NM and last complaint is the “Continental breakfast” is nothing more than instant oatmeal dry bagels donuts and juice other than a waffle…….. being how this chain is Wyndham Hotels I would expect a proper “Continental Breakfast”

Very clean place with comfortable beds and good staff however they do not serve anything close to breakfast it’s cold cereal yogurt hard bagels and dry donuts it’s not at all what would be considered continental breakfast at all, no eggs sausage or bacon every other hotel/motel that advertises breakfast at least have not breakfast meats and scrambled eggs or even hard boiled eggs…… other than this issue I’m quite satisfied with my stays and I’ll continue to use the Microtel in Raton NM

AC wouldn't work. Front desk wouldnt help much but told us 4 times how to reset us. We traveled 700 miles with a lot of luggage and he stuck us on 2nd floor with no elevator and tried to tell us there were NO rooms on the first available. I verified the next morning he lied.
