It was not clear this was a “motel style” property with all rooms accessed from outside. That is fine but when it is called a hotel you have different expectations. The rooms are newly renovated, clean and nice , especially bath and shower. The AC units are not upgraded and are quite noisy and did not do a good job of taking humidity out of the rooms. They are the old style under-window on the exterior wall style. We had to keep our room very cold (65deg) in order for it to not feel damp and sticky -‘for reference our visit was mid March. I would still come here again, the price for the location and access to Westin amenities is still a great value.

The all new suites are immaculate! I have come here for years but now you have really stepped up your game. Great rooms, great location, and best beach on the island at the sister propertu. This is a remodeled Motel. And the photos on Hotels.com don't match the place. They've repainted it from the charming Yellow to something that looks like a cheap motel. The pool area pictures don't match reality either. The rooms ARE nice, they're remodeled and functional. And you DO have access to the Westin across the street.

Took 30 minutes to check in. No one in front of me. Loud loud loud. Restaurant not open. I am disabled and the referent issue was addressed you can walk across to the Westin for food!!!?? The rooms are not ADA compliant. Pillows are terrible. Never again.

This was our third time staying at Sunshine Suites. The hotel is currently being remodeled. We were excited to get to stay in a newly updated, clean, and quiet room. However, we were so sad the Sunshine Grill was not open because their food is absolutely delicious, especially their fish tacos, and hope it will be open the next time we return. The grill is truly a gem at Sunshine.

I loved almost everything about this property. It was renovated, the AC worked very well and they had ceiling fans in both the living area and bedroom. I was upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite upon arrival. It was updated and very modern. The restaurant and the pool were closed upon arrival but we were allowed to use the pool and beach chairs at the Westin across the street -- less than a 10 minute walk depending on what side of the resort you stayed on. The first we were given on the 1st floor did not have hot water so we were moved to the 2nd floor where the water was the perfect temperature. The beds were the only downside, they were so HARD, not firm, just hard. Luckily I was tired enough to fall asleep. Again the beach is right across the street and The Eats Cafe/Legendz Bar is also within a short walking distance. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Overall, if I ever come back, I'll be staying here.
