A honest feedback.
After a long 8-hour drive, we were looking forward to relaxing and enjoying our stay during our four-day visit. Unfortunately, our experience fell short of expectations.
From the start, we noticed the hotel is family-run, which can be a strength, but it often felt like we were walking through someone’s personal home rather than a professional lodging space. Behind the front desk were boxes and miscellaneous items stacked in view, and we passed rooms where family members (serving as staff) were sitting and chatting casually during cleaning hours.
When we entered our room, it was clear the only thing done was the bed being made—hopefully with fresh sheets. The floor had not been vacuumed, there was used coffee in the tray, an ice cream container was left in the freezer, and the mirror and vanity were not cleaned. The shower had two conditioner bottles and no shampoo. On top of that, we discovered blood stains on the comforter, which had simply been covered by a sheet.
In the lobby, we often saw the family having early meals or lounging around, making it feel unwelcoming for guests to use the space. Breakfast was very limited—only waffles, eggs, sausage, and two cereal options. No fruit or oatmeal were available.
While we appreciated the location and your attempt at hospitality, these issues left us disappointed. We will return to the area next year, but unfortunately, we will be booking with a different hotel. I hope this honest feedback helps your team improve.
