My travelling companion uses continuous oxygen, and when we opened the door to the partially underground room, we immediately smelled mold. We asked for a room on an upper floor and were told none was available. We were told we couldhave a refund. I asked for something in writing and the front desk said we'd have to work with Expedia. I have been working with Expedia, and they're saying there's not much they can do.
The entire experience has been terrible.
I don't why it's not possible to get a refund for an uninhabitable room

Cheap option to lay your head for a few nights.
Never saw the breakfast, not that I would have eaten it. Bed was hard, pillows hard.

Decent place
This was a decent hotel for the price, close to restaurants, and a convenient location. Everything in the room worked and I slept well. But housekeeping was vacuuming the hallways until 8:30pm, there was no elevator, and a nearby room smelled like marijuana.

Not one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at
I walked around the property this morning and did not see where breakfast was available. No one was at the front desk to ask, and he never told me when I checked in where breakfast was. Check in. I got there before three and asked if by chance they had anything available to drop off my stuff while I explored the town. He said he had a double room available not the king I had reserved and I told him that would be OK if it was available now so we went ahead and did all the check-in and then told me it would be a $30 early check-in fee. I told him I would just drive around with the stuff in the car Versus paying an extra $30. When I did come back after three to check in even though I had my service dog with me, he put us all the way on the third floor, using stairs versus the first floor for easy access to take my dog out. Don’t know his reasoning behind that, but I think it could’ve been more convenient.

Good stay. Quick one night stay as we were moving our daughter to Dubuque for school. Room was clean and nice. The hotel could be updated a bit, but overall it was nice. The staff was very kind, and honestly, that’s a big thing. Would stay again. 😊

They couldn't make change for cash payment. They required I use a credit card vs. cash for dog damage deposit. The shower has black mold. Also saw bedding and furniture behind building with mold too. Suspect entire property has mold issue. Cleaning/vacuuming of neighboring rooms was still occuring after 6pm.
