Fun spot

We booked last minute during July which had lots of seaweed but we spent most of our time in the pool so we were fine. I’m positive they keep the beach very clean once seaweed season is over. The hotel could use a little updating but honestly I would book again. The food at all restaurants was very good and drinks were good. The pool activities were lots of fun. My room was very comfortable and clean and perfectly located to restaurants and pool (bldg 18) I have no complaints

Buen hotel pero adaptado a extranjeros

La estancia en general fue buena, estuvimos 3 noches y podría decir que fue una estancia amena. El hotel no es muy grande por lo que llegas a cualquier parte caminando. La comida es buena sin llegar a ser sobresaliente. En cuanto a bebidas mi esposa y yo no solemos tomar cocteles ya que siempre son muy dulces, probamos piñas coladas y mojitos y también eran muy dulces. El hotel está adaptado para extranjeros en cuanto a horarios, alimentos, y precios. Incluso durante los martes, que es noche mexicana, la comida no tiene un verdadero sazón mexicano. Algunos detalles a mencionar es que nos fue imposible encontrar camastros libres en el área de albercas, desde muy temprano en la mañana están todos apartados, aunque la mayor parte del tiempo los extranjeros están en la alberca y en realidad no los utilizan. El otro detalle fue con la información respecto a los restaurantes, durante el check in nos dijeron que todos salvo el restaurante bufete necesitaban reservación, pero al segundo día nos dimos cuenta de que no, se puede ir a cualquiera sin reservar, solo el teppanyaki en el restaurante japonés necesita reservación. No creo que me volvería a hospedar en el hotel, en general no fue una experiencia mala pero me gusta probar nuevos hoteles y este no me pareció fuera del promedio.

The accept to the beach was great. Most of the staff was really cool minus the lady who promised our transportation money back if we did the time share pitch. Money back didn't happen. If they had a shuttle bus to and from the airport, it would've been fantastic. Overall the place was nice, clean, food was decent, and most of the staff was pretty cool.

5-Star Review for Ocean Maya Royale Resort – Cancun I recently returned from an unforgettable vacation at Ocean Maya Royale Resort in Cancun, and I can confidently say it was one of the best travel experiences I’ve ever had! From the moment we arrived, the location took our breath away — right on the edge of the sparkling Caribbean Sea, with stunning ocean views and a peaceful atmosphere perfect for a relaxing escape. The food at the resort was absolutely fantastic. Every restaurant served high-quality, delicious meals with a wide variety of choices, and the restaurant staff was truly top-notch — friendly, attentive, and always making sure we were satisfied and smiling. Dining here felt like a true luxury. Special shoutout to the incredible entertainment team — Kendell, Margarita, Victor, and Oswyn — who made every day fun and full of energy! Whether it was pool games, dance lessons, or evening shows, they kept the good vibes going and made everyone feel welcome and included. Our room was always spotless and refreshed thanks to the hard-working housekeeping team, who went above and beyond to keep everything perfect and comfortable. Quick three night stay, didn't upgrade to Privilege and don't regret it. Ample choices for meals and plenty of areas to hang out both near the music and action and away without upgrading. Property is smaller relative to some of the newer massive resorts and very walkable. Our room was central to everything, comfortable, clean, and well maintained. Reservation only Japanese hibachi was mediocre, especially considering the difficulty to get in. Open air Italian restaurant on the beach was biggest surprise of the restaurants, scenic, and delicious. Breakfast at the buffet had plenty of options. Spa package was reasonable for two. Staff was attentive enough while lounging and very accommodating at the bars. Shout out to Jony and Edgar for the excellent drinks! We would absolutely recommend. The only negative if any was that the desk staff seems to push the "privilege" status thing a bit hard in demeanor. Didn't bother us one bit. Once you're checked in and on your own everything was great.

We had a great vacation. The resort entertainment was at a minimum, so we were disappointed. We still definitely had a relaxing vacation. The staff were great and very friendly. The resort grounds beautiful. We absolutely felt safe. If you want a really chill and relaxing experience here is the place to visit.
