We tried calling from the airport for a shuttle. The press 1 for shuttle rang for 29 minutes. Then trying another option, they kept answering and hanging up. When they finally answered, we were told where to go; and they would be there in 20-25 minutes. We waited 45 minutes before calling back. He showed up full and couldn’t take us. He did come straight back to us empty. Turns out the hotel is 5 minutes away. The driver was helpful otherwise.
The front desk guy, Anthony, was rude and decided to argue with me about our 2-room reservation. He said Hotels.com lied to me about it. That they do that a lot. I told him you did not. He literally rolled his eyes at me. Then he finally “found” our reservation for 2 rooms. He never apologized for his mistake. He wouldn’t give us rooms on the same floor, even though the room he gave us had an empty connecting room. I knocked to see if anyone was in there.
The rooms were corner rooms 2 floors apart. Very roomy very nice very clean.
The bathroom was huge. No tub, but that was not an issue.
The pool is a small indoor pool with a working jacuzzi. The attendant was stocking plenty of towels.
The hot breakfast buffet was plentiful with lots of options and delicious. They even had an omelette station. We missed the happy hour. The bar was open, but we didn’t get to visit it. There is also a Starbucks in the lobby with a limited menu, but some extras. They did not serve my drink. So it started out rough but got better.
