Get What You Pay For

It’s a pretty bare bones experience. We just needed an overnight stay so it wasn’t as if we were wrapping the hotel stay into a recreational package. Having said that , I was on the defensive with my spouse because there were a few things that felt a bit ratty. In other places it was unexpectedly positive. The room and beds were spacious, the beds were ok - not plush, and the room felt rather cold and damp. Had to request a hair dryer. There was a plastic chair tucked into the tv table. Apart from that, no desk or small table and chairs and no couch or single sofa. Nothing in which to set open the suitcases. Bathroom was modest - not a lot of space for storage. Bathroom sink was small , no basin plug and worst of all it was slow to drain; which meant it would start filling up pretty quickly. The bathroom door had a hole on the inside - like someone had a fit and kicked a hole in it. Tub/ shower was ok. Shower wasn’t the fullest stream, but ok. Non adjustable for height, and a taller person might have a problem. All hotels should have a hand held shower system for those who must have one. On our level there was a hoot leading to the parking lot that was broken and incapable of even closing - let alone locking. None of the doors have buffered door closers that work, and the slam of doors is common and disturbing. The walls are paper thin, it seems - or maybe it’s the acoustics of the halls - but it is quite a noisy place. It’s cheap.

There was a puddle inside and outside of the mini-fridge. it had been turned down enough to de-frost the tiny freezer. The usual amount of Motel 6 noise, slamming doors and hollering down the hall etc. Ya get what ya pay for.

Review of my stay at Motel 6 in Lebec California

The motel has been recently remodeled. Room is clean, bathroom is clean. There is a large very clean refrigerator and a small microwave. My son is disabled and gets agitated and very hungry at times so it is great that the motel is next to a Flying J with fast food there. Staff helped me get on Wifi and were cooperative about letting me stay an extra day when my son was irritable. View of the mountains out the room window is beautiful. I stay here frequently and the staff is always very helpful.

Nothing gross but super thin amenities. Ok stay

Staff was so kind and friendly. Check in was a little rough with my prepaid reservation. They're going under a remodel so the amenities were thin to none. No breakfast or even utensils. The lack of signage to the lobby made it difficult to find entrance. Holes in the bathroom door. Floor crackled. Shower was beyond difficult to turn on. Hopefully our room wasn't a recemt remodel. We were only there for 1 quick night so it was fine enough. At least there was nothing gross... wish we knew about the remodel when we reserved or even as we enter. Oh and very bad pot smell coming in from hallway.
