Petite Auberge was a perfectly perfect choice for us to stay during our four day birthday celebration. The location was ideal for us! Lots of restaurants and bats nearby and super close to the the cable car line too. Loved the complimentary wine and nibbles and also the complimentary breakfast too. But the best part was knowledgeable the staff was. They were so helpful with regards to making the best of our trip to SF. I highly recommend staying here and will be telling all of my friends about it too.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff, large charming room, everything worked fine. The space in the room could be better utilized in my opinion, with different or rearranged furniture, but that’s a small bit to pick when our experience was excellent and I would recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the Union Square area.

We are absolutely pleased with our stay at Petite Auberge in SF. Other than some steep stairs to get to our second floor room - the place was perfect for us. So close to the Masonic and Top of the Mark - our reason for our visit. My wife says - she'd go back in a heartbeat.

The Petite Auberge is a nice little hotel in a 115 year old building. The location is great, perfect walking distance to Union Sq, Nob Hill, China town, etc. Old buildings are very charming and I personally love them but it being an old building, the floors do squeak and creak so it was a bit annoying that our guests upstairs happen to be pacers at all hours of the night so that was a little difficult to sleep with. Just remember it's an old building and it is furnished in an old style, so don't expect modern amenities. But if you appreciate vintage little unique hotels that have a birdcage elevator and a fireplace, this is a great place for you. I'm sure we will be staying there again.

We had the Petite Suite, which was a true hidden gem. Easily the best suite we’ve ever had while traveling. The amenities and complimentary features were incredible. Valet parking was so easy. However, the staff never seemed to be available. No one was ever at the front desk. The sister property is next door and in order to talk to someone, you had to go next door. I loved the property and location, but I wish there were more staff on-site.

It’s a good location and Property overall - choose with the awareness that it’s not one of the modern hotels. Early check out by 1 day, was not refunded upon request. The receptionist cited hotels.com booking for that. You can park at nearby parking garages for half of the price and We suggest buying daily parking pass as they also don’t refund if you cut your trip short.
