Lovely stay at Hollins Hotel overlooking the Peak District. Our room was very spacious and opulent! The staff were extremely welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. The hotel was clean and decorated beautifully for Christmas and the food good. Will definitely stay again.

Friendly staff. Comfy bed. Only complaints, bathroom door didn’t lock, and food was expensive. Would happily stay again.

Lindsey, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Room was cold although there was a heater in the room we used. We stayed here because of the location to Lapland UK with our children. Not happy that the staff at breakfast asked if we had ever been to the Real Lapland! Detrimental to our magic!
Rachel, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. However the hotel is a bit run down run down, our room stank of food when we got there, garlic or curry? The room wasn’t cleaned the best, full bag of jelly babies left under the bed and no tea bags in the room only coffee for the morning? Also the beans were burn when we went for breakfast.
Lucy, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

The room furnishings and bathroom were dated and in need of refurbishment. The whole place looked tired. However it was cheap and fine for a one night stay. Friendly staff. Breakfast was not good - slimy eggs
Dianne, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

The staff were really helpful and friendly, which made the place itself very welcoming. The location and outside of the building was very pretty, I could see why people would stay here for the location, and the grounds are very well maintained. The hotel itself is clean and looked after, but it's very lost in time and needs some upkeep. T

Good in parts

Decor and bathroom needs updating. Beds comfortable. Already commented on shortages in bar. Staff very friendly.
Finlay, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

The hot water was intermittent on the second floor (our superior room). Corners of the room were dusty. Two spot light bulbs out. Bathroom floor tiles cracked. Second night reduced dinner menu due to a ‘gas problem’
