Front desk staff were amazing!
Originally booked a room at a different hotel. Upon late arrival, around 10:00 pm, the hotel room was filthy. The bedding had urine stains and hair. We were switched to a different room which was in the same condition. A refund was received and I booked a room at the Best Western which was nearby. Checked into the reserved balcony room at the Best Western around 11:00 pm. I asked the staff member if they could confirm that the bedding was not soiled and hairy. He looked at me strangely and said yes, the hotel rooms are clean. I explained that we were at that hotel because of unsatisfactory conditions at previous hotel. After checking in, we went to the car to grab clothing bags because it was late and I had two sleepy children that needed pajamas. When we walked back in the front desk clerk said that he went to the balcony room to check cleanliness. He said that sometimes the computer shows that a room is ready when the room has not been cleaned and sanitized. He said that the hotel was at maximum capacity and only 2 rooms were available, so he wanted to ensure that the reserved room was suitable. He apologized and stated that the only room available was on the 1st floor, right next to the lobby. I appreciated his consideration in my satisfaction and checked the room. He said the 1st floor room was suitable and suggested that I speak with the clerk the following day to see if a balcony room was available. His kindness was greatly appreciated.
