The servers, bartenders, and service was excellent. Our first day the pool was green and murky (disgusting we did not want to swim). The rooms were clean and our fridge was stocked daily. The food at the buffet was average, I personally really enjoyed all the options. Our last night we made reservations for the restaurant and it was the worst experience. We waited over an hour for our food and only saw our waitress a couple times before we decided to leave, we were in there for over 2 hours with only getting our appetizers and finally after 2 hours getting our main dish (never received my salad), we never saw our waitress again to order any dessert. It was a bad experience and totally ruined our last night.

Me gusto el hotel la unica critica es que en la arberca no hay ningun tipo de musica tocando por lo cual no hay hambiente y el hotel necesita una discoteca que este habierta de 11:00 a 2:00 de la madrugada y el show nocturno en vez de empesar a las 8:00 deveria ser de 9:00 a 11:00 de la noche por la mayoria de los huspedes estan cenando a las 8:00 de la noche y cuando van a ver el show nocturno solo alcansan a aprecial 10 o 15 minutos del show ya que culmina a las 9:30 pm . Quisiera reconocer el gran cervisio de juanita la señora de la limpiesa de mi habitacion y Jerry en el aria del buffet y el bar y Los chicos del bar Andres,Jesus, Daniel y Gamaliel.

This hotel definitely did not live up to its 4.5-star rating online. From the moment we arrived, we noticed several concerning issues. The pool was extremely dirty, with tiles falling off and light fixtures around the area hanging out of the ceiling—posing a safety hazard. Our room wasn’t much better. The shower head had a large hole in it with just some white tape barely holding it together. The sink was stained and moldy, which was very off-putting and unsanitary. To make matters worse, the staff were consistently rude and unhelpful. Getting a drink at the bar felt like a chore for them, and we were often ignored. Even local taxi drivers commented that most guests leave Mia Reef unhappy—and unfortunately, we were no exception. I do not recommend staying here. This place was a huge disappointment. And they refused to give me a refund although I left my stay 5 days before I was supposed

Our stay at Mia Reef Isla Mujeres was a complete disaster from start to finish. The resort looks NOTHING like the pictures advertised. We booked and paid for a room with double beds, and were given ONE regular bed and a portable bed shoved under the AC unit—which leaked water directly onto it! No blanket, no pillow—our son, the guest of honor for this supposed graduation trip, had to sleep on that soaking wet, old excuse for a bed. The beach and water? Covered in seaweed, reeking, and looking NOTHING like the crystal-clear views shown online. The dock, where we hoped to take family pictures, was completely unusable due to bird droppings everywhere. It stunk so bad it turned our stomachs. We borrowed snorkeling goggles from the resort, didn’t even get a chance to use them—just tried to adjust the strap and it snapped. They charged us $30 for it and held onto our passport as leverage in case we refused to pay! Unbelievable. The worst part? The resort served alcohol to our 17-year-old son without our permission! Even though the resort uses wristbands and he was clearly wearing a minor’s color-coded one, they still gave it to him. Completely unacceptable. We were under the impression that this was a peaceful, private island. Instead, it’s a nonstop party zone with around 60 yachts and catamarans bringing crowds of tourists onto the resort every day. There was no peace or relaxation at all. We tried to raise these concerns, but none of the staff spoke English.

Beaches were incredible, staff was friendly and very attentive. Especially those that were taking orders from people on the beach. Shopping was a short walk. Privacy was nice. Negatives. Smells from uncollected seaweed under the bar area made it almost unbearable to be in the bar. After cleaning it helped immensely. Would recommend
