Room was Excessively Humid
Third stay at this property in the prior five months. First two stays were slightly above average and acceptable. This stay, though, will be our last at this property. When entering the room, it was extremely humid while cool. There was even a dehumidifier in the hallway just outside our door...we should have unplugged it and moved it into our room. The carpet was moist, resulting in our socks having to be thrown away due to the stains when first walking around the room...then we wore our shoes. The sheets were even slightly moist. Was told no other rooms available and no offer to adjust our rate was provided because we had pre-paid for two nights. Other issues include floor in bathroom very poor and would sink a good 1/2 inch with entering. Sink stopper broken, carpet snagged, and foot bench in front of couch was in terrible condition. Ultimately, we left after one night, forfeited our second night's payment (pre-paid). Additionally, the pool has been closed for cleaning or maintenance during all three stays. This stay, though, I had to initial a form notifying me that the pool was closed. The one positive thing with this trip along with the prior two was the breakfast. Although this isn't enough to salvage our business. This property is not a good example of most Holiday Inn Express locations.
