Valentine’s Day disaster!!!

Hotels.com needs to update their description of this property!!!! We booked this hotel for our 25th Valentines weekend trip and found out after checking in that the hotel restaurant and lounge were closed! Then, later we were told the pool was also closed and have been for quite awhile!!! I am very disappointed in your customer service center as well. I tried contacting hotels.com via virtual chat and by calling, both were unsuccessful at reaching anyone regarding the situation!!!! Do better!!!

Satisfactory option

Was able to stay comfortably with my pup. I appreciated that the placed us close to the dog area to make potty breaks quick and easy. Staff was pleasant when contacted and overall was about average for a hotel; no major complaints but no wow factor. Work station in the room was nice other than the hookups weren’t convenient or easy to access. Minor thing but the hot water from the insulated carafe in the lobby at checkin(4p) was barely above room temp; on a cold snowy day that was disappointing.

Check-in was easy. However, when we got to our room, it was cold. We turn on the heat and discovered that the shower only did hot water and the heater in the room did not do heat. then we got extra blankets, hoping it wouldn't be that bad, but couldn't sleep quite a bit of the night because I was so cold. There were beer cans underneath the bathroom vanity, that hadn't been picked up. It just was not a good experience. When we went down to ask for blankets, they asked if we wanted to move rooms, it wasn't terribly cold and already undressed for the night, so figured the blankets would be fine. I did not account for waking up and the room being as cold as it was outside. We did not appreciate it. It was unpleasant.I was shivering by the time I got out to my car because it was so cold in the room. I've stayed here twice before and it's never been this bad, but there was no there's no way I'll stay there again.

Just felt like it was an older hotel needing an upgrade and the washer had stained some of our clothes with a bright red mark, not sure if it was in the drum of the machine but overall housekeeping was amazing front desk just not very good hospitality

A little scary

under renovation; lighting out in areas, no working phone in room, front desk staff more focused on eating their Burger King dinner than resolving any issues brought by the guests. One bright spot was the cleaning lady the next morning, very nice and helpful, the management could learn from her...

Our room was dirty, the bathtub had holes in it, there were bolts hanging from the ceiling in both the bathroom and bedroom. The complimentary shampoo and conditioner were both half empty. Had higher expectations for a Red Lion.

Shabby But Clean

Location is convenient to freeway and near fast food restaurants. Check in was easy and room clean. Room had refrigerator, microwave, and TV. Condition was shabby/dated. Continental breakfast had a good variety.

Not Efficient

It was the night of a popular concert. The hotel staff refused early check ins which resulted in a line out the door starting at 3 pm. I was in that line an hour waiting to check in. I’m sure it made many people late for the concert, luckily we made it on time. That should have been handled a lot better than it was especially considering the frequency of concerts in that area.
