Welk resort is about 30 minutes away from where we live and it’s a perfect staycation place to decompress for a few days.Upon arrival staff greeted us with smiles and enthusiasm. In fact all staff members we had the pleasure of meeting went above and beyond to help and they were the highlight of our stay.
Welk is a lovely resort with beautiful views all around. We enjoyed relaxing at the pool(s), taking walks and just relaxing. However we were disappointed that there was very limited food / drink options at the pools. And we would have liked to have more cabana rental availability at more of the pools. We had planned to spend a day at each pool but only two had cabanas for rent.
Our villa was lovely. Very spacious and nice. However there were several things that needed attention. The washing machine leaked and flooded the kitchen, the microwave door needed to be held shut in order to work, and the shower would gradually get too hot because the handle would not stay in position. There were a few other things as well.
We had a wonderful time and we will definitely return for little getaways but the condition of the villa made us think twice about buying in.
