Great amenities!

The amenities alone making this spot totally worth it will definitely go back it was a lot of fun water park & pools are open until late which was great. the beach was gorgeous & offered water sports. The arcade is a nice touch but its tiny & almost half the games were out of service which was a bummer. the restaurant is super cute but service was horrible and food was not good. The server was very kind but do not recommend the restaurant at all such better places to eat in the area. The room i saw online i feel looked very different than what we got and the cleanliness was definitely questionable. the room was small especially the bathroom but it definitely was an awesome view (oceanfront) the hotel itself could use some cleaning & upgrades the parking garage was gross and you had to pay to park which was also annoying. The elevators were filthy and the halls were all carpeted which i found odd. We got his with a bad storm one night and water sushi started coming into our hotel room it was so odd and trying to get ahold of the front desk to let them know was nearly impossible called 6 times before someone finally answered. They also don’t come to clean the rooms which was kinda ick but we really only used the room for sleeping and the amenities were so great and fun that it made it worth staying

It’s ok especially for the location

The room was not clean. They put us in the wrong room. We booked a king bed suite and her gave us two queen beds. Tub, floors, walls, curtains, and kitchen was dirty. Found old food and crumbs on the floor. Beds were comfortable. They do respond fast when you need things. For the price on this site, it’s worth it for the most part. Don’t expect a lot. The price on their actual site is like double. If I had booked on there, it would’ve been a problem. I dealt with the issues due to the price being decent on here.

Our stay was pretty good. I had a good view of the beach, it was literally a minute away from our room. The restaurant inside of the hotel was good. They had an arcade and an inside store.

Skip Myrtle Beach...

Do not be fooled by the photos online, this place is run-down, understaffed, and deceiving. They put photos up of their remodeled units, which are not available to the general public, only the time share owners. They know their hotel is run-down, and can only afford to renovate through selling time shares. They suckered us into watch their time share presentation, which they told us would only be 90 minutes. 2 hours in, told them we had to leave. We did get $225 in vouchers to use at some locations on property (not all). Beds were uncomfortable, sheets rough, floors were disgusting, bathroom disgusting, bangs and bashes all over door frames. Missing and loose tiles throughout the entire property. None of the pools have lifeguards, and water was foggy (means imbalance of chemicals). The lazy river is long, but super narrow, so you can't even fit 2 tubes side by side. beach access was nice, did not have to walk far. Bathrooms for the pool were in a trailer in the parking garage and very smelly. Take-away, skip Myrtle Beach and visit one of the other seaside towns in SC.

Enjoyed Our Stay, Except Housekeeping

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was always nice & helpful. The front desk allowed us 3 parking passes even though their site said we could only have 2. The restraurant food was ok. I never understood housekeeping. If we needed anything, they left it in our room on a cabinet. We asked for clean linens and they gave us enough for 1 bed even though our room had 4 beds. They never came in our room except to drop stuff off. We were there a week. We took out the trash, dirty linens (from 1bed) and dirty towels.

Rooms was ok. Pools were nice. Rest of hotel is blah. pool filtration outside of rooms on bottom floors. You can smell this after parking and walking to rooms. Also, extra restroom trailer stinks!!! You can smell this from about 100 feet away.

Me and my family had a wonderful getaway. Crown Reef resort is a must if you have kids. The pools/splash pad is worth staying here, your kids will love it. The property is very clean and our room was spotless when we arrived. The only thing I would say that needs improving is the room is always warm. You’ll want to have a fan during your stay. But overall we would definitely stay here again.

Book the trip!!' Excellent!

This was a 10/10! Book the trip. We had an excellent stay at Crown Reef Resort! The rooms were clean and comfortable, the pools and waterpark were a huge hit with the kids, and the beach access was perfect. Staff were friendly and helpful, and everything we needed was right on site. A great place for a fun, relaxing family vacation — we’ll definitely be back!

Beautiful view meh resort!

The view was just stunning! However the staff seemed dense! My family was not welcomed however seem more like a inconvenience! Please do not get me wrong the resort is lovely for the most part! However good luck finding the space in a hot tub! The kiddie water area needs to be updated as I cut my finger on the submarine pretty quickly had to hold my foot over the rusted part so my child and others didn't get hurt! My family tried to extend the stay due to not being able to get to most of the amenities offered! Unfortunately we were given the run around the hotel told us we had to do it through the 3rd partly we booked through and hotels.com hung up on us 3 different time after waiting on the phone for extended period of time! Over all the resort is 7 of 10!

The ceiling above the bed was leaking on us. Had to call maintenance multiple times before they came and all they did was pop this bubble but not the part that was actually leaking. Mildew growing on ceiling. You could tell the ceiling had been rematches multiple times but it seems as if this leak has been a persistent issue.
