It was an excellent hotel ! Great location ,, near all the museums The Vondelpark was just outside . Close to tram stops and walking distance to boat canal tours Service was excellent Beautiful comfortable lobby And nice garden oasis on the property I’ll definitely stay there again !

Stayed 4 nights in a superior room. Bed was comfortable, pillows were a bit too fluffy, but that just personal preference. Noticed a couple spots on the bottom of the sheets/comforter towards the end of the stay, but wasn't a big deal to me. Great location, easy check in, and lovely front desk. Would definitely recommend!

It felt like a hostel. Renovations were taking place on the same floor as we stayed, which made the hallway look a bit messy. Additionally, the standard of the room we received was not good enough. If the images here on Hotels.com gave the impression of a nice stay, the real-life product feels cheap and a bit run down. The faucets in the bathroom were almost coming undone from the wall, and the paint on the ceiling and around the windows were worn off, so it all felt a bit shabby. NOT OKAY for being a SONDER, and for the price range - in my opinion.

The location was convenient. Entering pin in the front door was very difficult and had to ring bell for someone to open the door for you. Note to older folks that it has steps and it's hard to open front door. We stayed at this place for a week. There is not cleaning services that comes in daily - we asked for one in the middle of the week! Jacuzzi style bathtub in the bathroom was not functioning.

The staff was very helpful, but I was not forceful enough in my complaint that the order was only lukewarm in the shower, but boiling hot in the sink. After I made a complaint about the temperature of the shower, the problem was remedied quickly. The lights did not work for the ceiling, but that situation was also remedied promptly upon the return of the maintenance person two days after we checked in on a weekend which was the King‘s birthday weekend. The location was excellent, and the staff was very accommodating. I should also point out that when I told the staff that the ceiling lights weren’t working, they came with me to confirm that they weren’t working and supplied a pole lamp to remedy the situation until the maintenance person arrived a couple of days later. I would certainly stay in this establishment if I return to Amsterdam.
