We did not stay at this property. They also won’t answer the phones to Expedia to process a refund. There was a dead roach on the floor, part of a dead roach body on the bed, the door to the bathroom was stitched together by several screws down the side that we’re not even holding the door together. The walls were visibly dirty. The room smelled of cigarette smoke despite requesting a non-smoking facility. Andrea at the front desk was very kind, very sympathetic, even gave us a print out stating that she authorized a refund, with her signature, but nevertheless, Expedia won’t grant it because they haven’t been able to make contact with the hotel to confirm.
I’m a pretty patient and understanding person. I absolutely understand that not every place is going to be for everybody, but when you do not stay at a facility because it is presented in an unsanitary fashion, you should absolutely be able to get a full refund! That is all I want. I paid for a room that I was unable to stay in and therefore, should not have to pay for the room that I was unable to stay in.
