Go Somewhere Else
The breakfast was okay, and the pool was nice. The rest went downhill.
The room smelled funky, the mirror on the closet was broken, the couch bed had no bedding, and the bathroom had grainy textures on the counter that felt like dirt, and a dark ring in the toilet bowl that might be a stain or might not.
The nail in the coffin came the next morning when everything itched. It took me a little while to figure out it was probably bed bug bites. The staff were sincerely apologetic, but also seemed helpless to make changes. They told me they couldn't alter the charge for all 3 nights despite me checking out after 1. Unfortunately, I prepaid because I thought 3 stars and a brand name meant it was a safe bet. I was wrong.
Shout out to the Hotels.com agent who advocated on my behalf. Thank you for making me feel human again after all that.
