A gem of a hotel

We have stayed in a number of hotels in Bologna and this is by far our favourite. We enjoyed our stay and the service we received so much that we canceled reservations we had at another hotel for later in our trip and booked with the Touring Hotel for our return. The area is an older residential area, not so touristy, but the essential spots in Bologna were all within an easy walk. The view from the rooftop cafe made for a great start to our trip.

Great staff, clean, great roof top bar!

All the staff I encountered were absolutely wonderful, seemed to go out of there way to be of help! The location itself is on a side street without many shops or restaurants right there, but it's only about a 5minute walk to the main piazza. Worked for me. I had a room with a balcony and view, the view was stunning, so worth it if you can. The room itself was a bit small and crowded, but the balcony made up for it. Despite smallness, the room had everything I needed, and was very clean. Bed a tiny bit hard, but that's a preference thing. The hotel lobby and other areas are lovely; clean, nice artwork and decor, and the rooftop bar is not to be missed - has incredible views; had great drinks and dinner there gazing out at the view, lovely night, food was very good, staff great!
