I've a mixed review about my stay at the Trafford Hall Hotel. My first visit was pleasant, free room upgrade and the double room was nice. Bathroom was modern, good shower. The bed was comfortable enough - although had dirty marks on one of the pillows. Towels are big and couldn't complaint about the facilities.
The second time I stayed, I booked a single room. Was "upgraded" to a double... but it had no windows or aircon. Asked reception for new room, as I couldn't stay in this new room. Was given a room on 2nd floor (there's no elevators btw, but this was fine). and was given a new smaller room with window. Again, bed was fine. Most towels were clean - one was stained/dirty. But this time, the bathroom was awful. Again, same modern style bathroom with good shower - but the sewage smell was disgusting. When I returned to my room after being out all day, I had to throw open the small window and get the fan back on. This had to be kept on all night because of the awful smell. The drains/shower definitely needed to be cleaned properly, because the smell was unacceptable.
