Won’t be back

I cannot blame the staff for how poorly run this hotel is. They are clearly struggling with a lack of staffing and resources. We checked in at 6:30pm. No one was at the desk. I finally called and one poor woman said she was the only one working at the property. She was running up to the rooms to provide extra blankets and had to leave the front. We finally got our room and the key cards didn’t work. The girl at the front gave us new keys and then said it probably wouldn’t work because the key sensor needed to be reset. The problem was that she needed to call someone offsite to fix it. We asked for a new room, which we received. At breakfast the next morning there was literally no food at 9:00. Again, one poor staffer was trying to appease everyone looking for eggs (there were dregs which were cold.) There were no bread products. The waffle batter was out and she was trying to find more for the line of kids. Finally we came back to our room in the afternoon and the room was oddly “cleaned.” One bed was made poorly. There was new shampoo added to the bathroom, which we didn’t need because we hadn’t used any. The sofa bed and one of the queen beds were not made at all. The towels were replaced and there was an empty trash bag laying on one of the beds. So confusing though my guess is they only had one person who was running through all the rooms and just was doing their best. Listen. I know best western isn’t luxury but we are paying money for something that should be decent.

Superb staff, very clean, excellent ski weekend

Amazing place to stay. Very convenient to skiing. Hosted us and a bunch of little kids. The staff was amazingly accomodating, patient, and delighted to have us all there. Pam, was a fantastic host in the morning and took grandma like care of all of the toddlers at breakfast. It was lovely!

My Stay

The room was nice, though I had to crank the heat up in order to get the room warm. There was one long hair in the bath tub, but everything else was spiffy clean. I liked the layout of my room. The breakfast was very good. The employees were great! It's the perfect place to spend the night after climbing Whitecap Mountain, which I did this trip.
