This is a cool, historic building that I've been passing on the freeway for years. So when it was made into a hotel I was excited to check it out. Unfortunately, there was a lack of communication between staff members which caused multiple inconveniences related to room and parking situations.Though I asked for a high room away from repetitive noise (due to a sensory processing disorder) I was given a 2nd floor room right above the very noisy freeway and near the ice machine. It seemed like the hotel owners were going for and had spent a lot money creating a hip LA vibe, but forgot to put as much attention into training and customer service. Though the hotel has some great amenities like the comfortable front lounge, great pool area, and fun view from the top floor restaurant, communication mix-ups, a so-so room, and a chaotic breakfast set-up (though wonderful host) left us with little desire to return.
