We rented 2 ocean view rooms for 3 adults and 3 children for 5 days. The rooms were mediocre at best. Linens, pillows, towels, mattresses were not good. House keeping came twice. Our sheets were never changed. The personnel at this hotel are incredibly unfriendly. It was absurd. Both families had issues with room keys not working a number of times. No apologies EVER for the inconvenience.
Our first night we dined at the sushi restaurant. When the bill came, I filled out the receipt with my room number. At 9 PM, when my 2 children and I were asleep, a staff member knocked loudly on our door, waking all of us. He said he needed my credit card because I had not previously allocated a dollar amount for food charges at check-in. What kind of weird policy is that??? We were there for 5 days!! Why wake us in the middle of the night to settle a food bill? RIDICULOUS
The pool is tiny. The pool area is a joke.
The location of the hotel is VERY difficult to get to.
I've been to Panama many times. I stay with family or I stay at the Plaza Paitilla Inn. I selected the Decapolis this time because I needed two rooms and it offered free breakfast and was less expensive than Plaza Paitilla.
I spent every minute of every day regretting this decision.
Both hotels are in generally the same area: Paitilla. But the difference in total experience is mind-blowing. Save yourselves the grief. Do as I will do from this day forward: Choose Plaza Paitilla Inn, or ANYWHERE ELSE
