Stephanie at the front desk was super helpful and friendly. She got us checked in fast and personally showed us to our beautiful room. The room itself was clean and spacious. The view of the ocean from the balcony was breathtaking. The bed was extremely comfortable. I can’t wait to come back!

We love staying here.

We were given a great room with ocean view at an excellent price. Would be nice if they did breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful. We have stayed there many times and they are working on renovation and now have an elevator which we appreciate.

Not worth the location convenience

I had stayed here many times before and enjoyed the jacuzzi tub and convenience of being across the street from the beach, even though the hotel room condition is a bit on the “motel” side. But this last trip may have been my last one ever, because throughout the night a man was yelling so loudly it kept waking me up and scaring me. I slept terribly. In the morning I asked the front desk about it and was concerned that it was a violent situation, but was told the man was a solo traveler with mental health issues who had done this before. In my mind, after even one situation like this, why was this man allowed back?

So much potential!

The view was partially obstructed but I could sit on the bed and watch the waves. I would have loved to sit out on the patio. There were a couple chairs out there. They were inside chairs that were it outside. The upholstery looked wet. The metal accents on the chairs were rusted. They chairs inside both had significant stains. We covered them with bags before sitting on them. The exterior is being updated. There is a lot of construction. This place has so much potential. It is pretty rough and outdated currently. There is a large jetted tub in the room. I wanted to relax in the tub, but based on the stains on the chairs and the walls I didn’t have much confidence in the thoroughness in the cleaning of the jets. The knobs to turn on the water were slimy. Fortunately there was also a shower in the room. The linens on the bed did seem clean. The bed was very firm. There were lots of noises from other rooms throughout the night. Parking is limited. The hotel is on a hill. Once we found a level spot we were in for the night.

A beautiful, historic hotel in an unbelievably beautiful location - It has been through many renovations and has some chips in the paint etc, but it is incredibly clean, including the in-room jacuzzi tubs, which is not often the case with those! The staff also went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable and safe as a solo female traveler. I will happily return!

Great location across the street from beach

Great location, loved the jacuzzi in the room, and the view from the big shared patio just in front of the room. The fridge made a weird noise most of the time but we never complained (was almost a white noise). They told us to put out a door hanger to indicate if we wanted the room cleaned. We didn’t have the door hanger and asked the cleaning person in person (she was right next door), and we also later called the front desk. We had to ask a third time to finally get service. Also, no ice machines…had to go to the front desk to pick up ice.
