Solo trip post hiking the Seven Sister's Cliffs. A beautiful and calm place to go to after a challenging hike. My room had a gorgeous view of the English Channel and the entire room and bathroom felt like you were staying in a top spa accommodation. Breakfast was of an array of nice choices. The original room we were allocated was a bit small so we changed to the family room. At an off peak price it was good value and I would summarise it as a cheap and cheerful hotel. The staff were all very friendly. The breakfast at £6.95 per person was enjoyable. I would return but only at off peak prices.

Traveling as a single person I felt very safe, I loved the single room that was comfortable, had everything you could possibly need.Lorraine who helped with the breakfast was absolutely wonderful, she is an asset to the Hotel.I would recommend the Halycon to anyone looking to stay in the area.I would live a return visit. The owner was very accommodating with a late check in. Loved the whole experience.

Great value in a good location on the sea in Eastbourne. Friendly staff, clean, and quiet. Good access to the South Downs Way as well, heading towards the Seven Sisters. Only drawback was the tiny shower, but for the price, it’s worth it.
