My partner and I spent a few days in Vienna to explore the city, and we chose this hotel because of its great location and eco-friendly approach – and in those aspects, it definitely delivered. The hotel is perfectly situated for public transport and sightseeing, and I really appreciate the focus on sustainability, like the choice to clean rooms every 2–3 days.
However, I have to say that the service left us disappointed. Having worked in the hotel industry myself for years, including in management roles in Denmark, I find it surprising – and honestly unacceptable – that guests aren’t acknowledged upon arrival or departure. Not even a simple “hello” or “thank you for staying with us.” You pass right by the front desk every time you go in or out, so it wouldn’t take much to make guests feel welcome.
I also found it unfortunate that, although the bed linens were changed, the used ones were just left in a pile on the floor along with the used towels. The bed itself wasn’t very comfortable either – far too hard for a good night’s sleep.
On the positive side, I really liked the speaker in the bathroom mirror and the shower was excellent – modern and spacious.
In short: amazing location and great green ideas, but the guest experience lacks the warmth and attention you’d expect – especially from a hotel that clearly wants to stand out.
