Impossible to contact

I cannot speak to the stay. I booked through expedia. I contacted them more than 7 days prior to my trip to cancel. I purchased cancelation insurance. After days of trying to reach Seabrook Villa, Expedia stated there was nothing they could do. I don't have a proper contact for Seabrook Villa to get my money back. Quite irritated with them and expedia. This is the entire purpose of insurance!

Most comfortable bed EVER

This little gem on the outskirts of New Orleans is absolutely amazing. It is super quiet, everyone you meet is nice and also very helpful. The rooms are nice, but those beds, man, they are the bomb. I never wanted to do anything lay in the bed, and then I'd fall asleep. The best rest I've had in years.

Lots of issues

Kind of run-down. Confusing to check in after hours. Poor communication on what to do. Spiders and bugs in the room. AC was so loud couldnt sleep. Literally nothing in the room but a bed, toilet, and small shower. Not close to worth the price. Leff after one night and stayed elsewhere.

The location was quiet and very safe. We enjoyed the deck most mornings and evenings. I know that humidity is an issue in New Orleans, but the first morning, we woke to find condensation running down the wall from the mini splits. It didn’t puddle on the floor and it never happened again so I think the air conditioners were a bit overworked removing the humidity from the air when we first arrived. My one complaint is that the floor left dark marks on the bottoms of our bare feet that had to be washed away. The office was closed so we ran to Walmart and got a Swiffer. I used three mop pads on the floor to get it clean. We aren’t in the habit at home of wearing shoes in the house and we did find that the floor would get just as grimy with us kicking off shoes at the door as it was when we arrived. Part of me wonders if it was a humidity issue. I’m not sure because my adult daughter found a receipt in her bed, which is concerning about whether the sheets were changed.

Nice for the price.

Cheapest 2 room place we could find so we didnt expect much. The room we had was pretty run down. Weak floors, damaged flooring and furniture, odd smell. Some small maintenance issues that arent properly adressed. Didn't matter much to us but the TV wasn't really working, local channels were in and out. The place is really out of the way, too. Train stopped on the tracks when we were trying to get back to the property and there was no easy way around. The property itself is nice though, gated, pool, on the water, nice views, really good AC and quiet.

This was my second stay at Seabrook. All staff were very friendly and accomodating. The grounds had been freshly mowed Onsite restaurant makes it a good spot for a solo getaway or family trip. Slightly outside city traffic, but close enough to NOLA attractions/amenities.

Stay was worth the price.

The room was a little small but was comfy foe the most part. The shower didnt have a lot of water pressure but everything was really clean. The room was cold but smelled a little musky at times. Was a nice place for the price.

When we got to the property there was nobody to check us in. We called, no response. We scrambled to get a place in a downtown hotel that night. We did not stay at the property. This rate is due to the fact that I coukd not submit the review without rating

The Villa was a nice idea, but I don't think it was ready for customers. It looked like they had taken broken furniture and put it in there the last minute. No closet, it was taken up with Hot water heater, the refrigerators small freezer was missing, the drawers in bathroom vanity were all broken and unable to use, so no place to put belongings, no one ever checked on us to see if something was needed unless we went to office. The wooded deck had splinters and needed sanding, otherwise we always had to wear shoes so we didn't get slivers. Cockroaches in the room, when it rained and you sat on the toilet dirty water dripped on my head. Very run down. Not what the pictures looked like. Restaurant was good, maintenance and office staff did their best to help. swimming pool was dirty the whole stay. The river was disgusting with garbage and dead fish floating in it

We arrived late in the evening. We didn’t get the information that the reception was closed, and the only one number was for security. We found our key cards and check in information in an envelope. The keycards didn’t work, so we had to go through the neighbour room because there was an unlocked door. In the room there was a huge cockroach and mold in the room. We stayed one night and left the day after. The only positive thing about the experience was the staff at the desk, who were very kind and did what they could to accommodate us. We haven’t yet got the refund they talked about and we haven’t heard from them since.
