I have soft spot for this place. I havve stayed here for many years. The rooms have a ton of space and are great for work stations, each has a seperate lounge area. The decor is tired and basic but well kept and clean. The staff are lovely and you can't beat the price. Breakfast is excellent and it's location makes for a peaceful sleep and easy getaway from Liverpool when it's time to leave. They have Yorkshire tea in the rooms, a bonus.

The room is looking tired, chips out of furniture, marks, ill fitted curtains etc. The room was really hot even though the heating was off. There was also a boiler type noise all night so I am not sure if I was above the laundry room.

Beds were good big beds providing a comfortable nights sleep. Rooms also were big, with a seperate living area. Breakfast was decent, plentiful We only stayed to attend the LFC match, bus stop only few mins from hotel that dros you off a short walk from the stadium.

Breakfast was late with cold beans on the first night and no toast. They take some time to get into the swing of it. Go later than as soon as they open. Toilet door broken and unable to secure, even though numerous attempts had been made previously. Not what would expect from an Executive room

For the money to room size was good, suite like, you could tell that this hotel was nice in its day, however, you could see how may times things had been repaired and moved around, it was just tired. The beds were comfy and the room was clean but tired, so there were stains, holes in the walls, gaps where things had been, light switches that didn’t do anything. For the money it was ok. I imagine if they invested the prices would have to soar. We attempted breakfast which we paid 17+ pounds for each, not enough staff, hotel was very busy which meant we paid for cold food, no cups, no bowls, no food and the replenishment could not come quickly enough. It was a waste of money for us to do it. Parking is plenty and the use of the spa was a nice bonus which meant this wasn’t a 2 star review

The carpet floor in our room needed cleaning. When I had arrived I had explained briefly to the receptionist that I'm here for my mum's funeral the two nights I stayed at this hotel I couldn't sleep well . I then had try to get over my mum's funeral. I needed rest before I start my long journey back home to Suffolk. I Sadly left I hour and thirty minutes later leaving my room by not leaving by 11.am.I went to the reception to explain my situation regarding my bereavement of my loss of my mum. I had no sympathy from the reception when I left and I had to pay a late search charge of £10.00 not happy.

Myself and my partner stayed for x2 nights earlier this week in room 208. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Good size rooms with living room area with plenty of room. Free WiFi okay but wasn’t great. Food was good reasonable price. Rooms were clean but we did find x2 large bottles of Gin stashed behind the living room sofa on our departure, that wasn’t ours. Overall we both enjoyed our stay relaxing in their lovely pool area.

Room had no lights in bedroom. Lamp , hairdryer could not be plugged in anywhere. Paid £95 for a valentine meal for 2. Didn’t have starter. Main tikka curry was not nice. Very watery and no curry taste. No bottle of wine given even though this was part of offer. Several couples on other tables were arguing and loud.
