Check in was easy and pretty smooth, even though they were training a new clerk. The room was clean and in good shape, but no coffee maker. Brand new TV on which no programming of any kind was available. We needed the sleep anyway. Breakfast was advertised as starting at 6:00 AM. I got there about 6:30. No milk, I had the assemble the coffee machine before getting coffee, and despite a sign saying wash the fruit before eating, there was no fruit. I ended up eating a yogurt and having coffee. I had planned on cereal, but no milk. We understand that it’s a budget motel, but my wife and I agreed that we won’t be staying there in the future. Too many things pointed to a lack of concern for the guests. We stay in this town from time to time, and there are too many better options for us to try staying here again. I hope the owners can right the ship and get things back on track.

The room was still being cleaned at check in. You can tell there’s definitely a drug problem in the area as there was a lot of umm interesting people hanging around the hotel all hours. Don’t count on the breakfast as it will never be stocked. The “free laundry” is 1 washer and dryer for the whole building so good luck. The stair smell like animal feces and urine. The staff won’t be present until late afternoon half the time so good luck and there was blood on our pillow to top it off. Honestly please don’t book find any other place to stay unless you’re super super super desperate.

Upon arrival the staff was preoccupied and showed minimal interest in checking us in to our rooms. Went to the rooms and one was not cleaned nor prepped for guests, bed was unmade, trash in trash in trash cans, housekeeping did not clean the room from previous day. The other two rooms were not stocked with towels, toilets were filthy, furniture in the room was in disrepair and stained, conforters on the beds were stained. Overall all condition was extremely terrible. Surprised this hotel bares the Wyndham name. Exited the hotel through the lobby and was observed a lady barefooted sitting on the floor cleaning the front door glass and appeared to be under the influence. Overall the Super 8 in Independence is horrific at best
