We had the honeymoon suite. The view was absolutely amazing but the property is a bit outdated. We ate the breakfast that was included but chose to dine out for the other meals. The owner is super friendly. The views make up for the property being outdated and there is a jungle trail that’s worth trying out.

Pros: The view from the panoramic chalet was awesome! The staff was great, the food was good, water pressure good, and in general the room was very nice. The location was great for me as I’m a wildlife photographer and was able to roam the grounds with very little to no people around. I saw a plethora of birds, peccaries, coatis and some capuchin monkeys as well. Cons: This place is a little dated. I’m sure it was beautiful in its heyday, however that time has passed. The lighting in the room was not very bright (minus the lights over the bathroom sink, they were fine) All in all, for the price I paid, I was satisfied.

Está muy cerca de Mistico Park y Volcano 1968 que soy dos actividades muy buenas, y a unos 30 minutos de La fortuna. Cuenta con Alberca y Jacuzzi, y con su propio terreno para hacer una caminata y conocer la naturaleza para que lo consideres en tus planes! El personal es amable y el desayuno es bueno, suficiente para empezar la mañana. El hotel es acogedor fuera de todo bullicio de la ciudad con sonidos de la naturaleza durante la noche.

Always a pleasure staying here. The view when it's not foggy is awesome. Please don't hold the hotel responsible if you don't get to see the view. It's the weather. The rooms are gorgeous. I've stayed here half a dozen times and love it. The people are always wonderful The only negative that I have is the breakfast seems to have gone downhill. Which was a shame because it used to be delicious. The ride from the entrance gate to the actual reception is up a very long steep dark windy hairpin road. But I love that it's part of the adventure. Going up when it's dark could be a little scary but again part of the adventure that I love which is why I keep going back.

The entire hotel is extremely outdated. Some parts might have a charm but you our (junior suite) was extremely humid and cold, even during Februrary. The windows were broken and could not me closed. When we asked about a heater they offered more blankets (we were already using two). The room was dark but clean. Low rating for the price, it is overpriced.

My family and I stayed for 3 nights in one of the chalets recently and enjoyed our stay. The grounds are beautiful and the view from the chalet and the pool area was stunning. The hotel is about 20-30 mins outside of La Fortuna so a bit inconvenient if you don’t have a car rental as there are no restaurants around except for at the hotel (which was okay). The views and the grounds made up for this inconvenience. Front desk and restaurant staff were very friendly. I would consider returning.

The hotel has really good view of the volcano and the room are spacious and comfortable. Also the swimming pool and hot tub were great. It also has a small gym, which is bonus, but which would benefit from an update. Service, at front desk and restaurant were very nice and attentive. However: 1- The wifi at the room did not work at all. 2- windows were not fully covered and therefore sunlight will came in very early and disrupt your sleep (if we need to sleep in). 3. No fridge in the room. 4- Breakfast was more like a snack than an actual breakfast. 5- If you need ice or hot water you need to get it from the restaurant, which closes at 9am.
