This hotel has a lovely outlook over the village. A fascinating history too. Decor could do with updating in the hallways and stairs but our room was fine. Friendly staff reasonable gluten free options. Dog friendly

Billeder er taknemmelige, hotellets storhedstid ligger langt tilbage. Desværre var det ikke i særlig god stand. Alligevel nød vi opholdet, og tog det som en kæmpe oplevelse på vores tur rundt i Skotland. Det skal siges at personalet var meget service orienteret, og selve værelset vi boede i var pænt, rent og af nyere dato end alt det omkring.

We enjoyed our three day break at Nethybridge very much in this fine old hotel. Even though it’s looking a bit tired in places, it makes up for any shortcomings with bags of character and first class, friendly and professional staff. The room and bathroom were really spacious and comfortable and the buffet breakfast caters for all tastes and is delicious. We ate in the restaurant for dinner each night and thoroughly recommend as the food is excellent and reasonably priced. Overall, a memorable stay, and we’d happily come back if returning to this lovely part of Scotland.

The uniqueness of this property is its location and history. Cannot fault the staff, they were friendly and attentive. However let’s be honest about the condition. The whole hotel needs overhauled, from interior design (all communal areas need redecoration, especially carpets). A weird smell through towards the bedrooms which I was convinced was smell of mould. Carpet at top of stairs on third floor is dangerous, coming away from the actual top step meaning we had to be very careful going up and down here, only a matter of time before guest or staff had a bad accident. Good - on the good side, dinner was very good. However breakfast barely mediocre. Cheap cereals, yoghurts and basic plain white or brown sliced bread. I would have loved a porridge option, but only found out after breakfast on our second day (when leaving) that this was an option, it wasn’t advertised. Sad to say we won’t be back, there is great potential here. We were surprised at the other reviews, and think many choose not to leave one out of kindness to the staff

Not at all as in pictures, and building needs renovation. Creaky floors meant you could hear every your neighboors every step. The pictures led us to believe that the are had a beautiful open view.

I stayed for a long weekend mid July 2024. I had a first floor room which was very spacious, nicely decorated and a very good sized bathroom. Room service attended every day. Staff at reception, bar and dining staff were all very nice and friendly. Breakfast is self service and very tasty and the evening meals are served quickly in the dining room or bar. It is an old building and could do with a little freshen up in corridors etc. It is remote with very little to do nearby, but that will also suit many people. The only downside is the lack of parking on busy nights. On the Saturday I couldn't get a space. Thankfully, the nightshift receptionist let me block her car in until the morning. I'd definitely return though.

Ok, men noget gammelt ….

Hotellet er et meget gammelt hotel som virkelig trænger til en kærlig hånd. Personalet er meget sødt og venligt, men omgivelserne ligner noget der burde gøre noget ved. Dog vil jeg sige at værelset overraskede positivt. Pænt værelse og flot badeværelse. Restauranten egentlig ok, men vinduerne er ikke pudset i flere år, beskidte både indvendig og udvendig. Morgenmaden var meget skrabet og kedelig anrettet. Men ok.

As others have noted, property could use some updates - new carpet, paint. While worn, areas were clean and staff was friendly. Room itself was good size, clean, comfortable bed and new bedding. Bathroom has been modernized/updates and was nice. Restaurant for dinner was good. Breakfast was OK with decent selection of hot and cold foods. Loved the coffee machine

Still unspoilt. Comfortable Victorian hotel with lovely architecture, cosy sofas in the old large lounge, fires in the winter, bedrooms upgraded and very nice, please keep it this way . Have been 3 times , though we only live 1hour away.

This hotel was lovely. Old building with lots of creaking but the room was very spacious and great accommodations while traveling with the family (18 & 21 year old with us). The surroundings were beautiful and peaceful. There was space downstairs with a lounge and sitting space to one side and a bar and dining space to the other. The breakfast was ok but Nethy Cafe just a 2 minute walk was great!
