I would not recommend this hotel as a place to stay. My family and I arrived on a Thursday around 7 p.m. after traveling from Georgia. Upon check-in, we were given our key cards and headed to the room, only to be immediately greeted by a large roach scurrying across the bathroom floor. This set the tone for the rest of the stay.
As we inspected the room further, it was clear that cleanliness was not a priority. The sheets did not appear to be freshly laundered, the floors hadn’t been swept, and the kitchen area—including the microwave—was not properly cleaned. Considering this was a room advertised with a full kitchen, we expected much better upkeep.
On top of that, our key card stopped working multiple times and had to be reset three separate times during our short stay. By the time we were ready to leave, we were so fed up that we checked out at 5 a.m.—far earlier than the standard 11 a.m. checkout.
To make matters worse, our experience with local dining options was equally disappointing. My mother became extremely ill after eating at the Popeyes near the hotel, and then again after trying Papa John’s. She suffered from food poisoning and remained sick for days. Because of this, I will be avoiding any fast food or chain restaurants in the area going forward.
Overall, our stay was uncomfortable, unsanitary, and frustrating. I would highly advise others to consider alternative accommodations when visiting this area
