Clean and comfortable rooms. Breakfast was served in the lounge-bar area, it wasn’t buffet but you could order anything from the menu. Came for a concert at the International Centre which is literally across the street, so it was a perfect location. Also 10 min walk from the beach. Very recommended! Thank you :)

Check in was great. Very friendly guy on reception. Very impressed at the downstairs of the hotel and bar area. Rooms are a bit tired. Very loud from the nightclub until about 3am (and we were on the 3rd floor!) Not sure that much bass is really needed! Maybe I’m just getting old!

I was on a solo trip and this hotel was perfect for my needs. Location was brilliant turn left for the beach, turn right for the town and restaurants. The breakfast was freshly cooked in the beautiful bar area. Reception staff were very helpful and made my stay so good.

Music until 5am!

Arrived to find the car park was full. Completely disinterested reception staff advised me it’s ’first come, first served’ just what I wanted to hear after a 5 hour drive. No sympathy, just ‘you can park next door, they are cheaper’ next door was a car park on a rocky bit of land with a steep uphill climb. If you have mobility issues, this is not the place for you. Room was fine, shower pressure was not, at least the water was warm. Fun fact, my room was 54 yards from the nearest nightclub (according to Google) which played music until 5 am Saturday morning and 4am Sunday morning. Breakfast was fine, overall experience was fine, apart from the car park and loud music. Would not recommend if you’re looking for a good nights sleep

Perfect weekend

Stayed for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it . It’s a beautiful old building with a lot of original features. I had a single room and it was very nice.

2 minutes from the BIC

It was ideal for the BIC we were able to just cross over the road from the hotel to see Gary Barlow at the Bic .Lively music on the Friday in the hotel and next door if you want a quiet hotel its not for you, but if you want to dance the night away you can!

Great venue

Fantastic overnight stay at Royal Exeter hotel in Bournemouth from start to finish. Friendly staff, good room, delicious breakfast. Went to a show at the BIC and loved coming back to extend the evening at 1812 disco afterwards. Will definitely be back!

Had a great stay, all staff were so friendly.

Weather was a amazing, we done plenty of walking, hotel was fantastic, only one problem was, hotel bed was like a trampoline, but mentioned it to reception and there were on it straight away ,staff were fantastic.

Lovely staff

The staff were amazing, very friendly with great service. The only downside was the dreadful noise from the onsite nightclub that went on until 4am so didn't get much sleep on the Saturday. Much better on the Sunday when the club wasn't open.

One night stay

Old large hotel not geared for comfort but for music and bar which was good. Room very basic usual old hotel en-suite small as was room bed very comfortable and small shower but good pressure and hot water. No where to eat on Monday in the hotel . Normally a sushi bar open but believe on Sundays they do a good roast. The breakfast and service was excellent though. Good for one night stay as opposite BiC which we wanted. Managed to park in gated car park as not too busy but they won’t guarantee you a place even with a disabled badge😩

Don’t bother!

Very shabby and tired noisy single room. The floorboards were so creaky that you felt uncomfortable walking around because of the noise. Very outdated decor. Very old fashioned. Haven’t seen a toilet like that or the type of lampshade for years! Overlooked the car park and there was a lot of noise by the bins! Desperately in need of a total refurb.

Perfect for what we wanted

We had one night here and it was lovely friendly staff ,clean room comfy bed on the 3rd floor. Easy quick walking distance to the beach . Lovely fresh breakfast and happy hour cocktails in the bar.

Lovely quiet stay!

I stayed from Sunday to Tuesday and the hotel was silent! I did start thinking I may have been the only one there! The room was very clean and had everything I needed. Being by the coast, it does get really cold at night which I'm not used to being from London so Tanya, the receptionist, kindly provided me with a portable heater as the radiators in the rooms were on a timer and did not switch on. I loved the décor of the hotel, it's absolutely beautiful, the wood against the red really works making it look very luxurious! The only thing that I feel is a major concern is how creaky the floors are!! Not just in the rooms but in the corridors, I'm guessing when the hotel is full, this could be an issue for people staying there. Overall, I had a really nice stay. The hotel is in a really convenient place being a few minutes walk from the beach and pier, and across the road is the BIC which I know they have music concerts there. Tanya the receptionist was very polite, welcoming and always had a smile on her face! She gave me all the information I needed about my stay and did not hesitate to help if I needed anything. She truly is a valuable member of staff. I had the breakfast on one of my mornings there and it was delicious so I would say take this option with your booking! I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel. I would be booking again without a doubt.
