The room is very clean and spacious and with a reasonable price. The hotel itself has limited facilities but the hotel staff can help you arrange a taxi to and from the main hotel for a hot bath and breakfast (taxi and hot bath are free of charge, you have to pay for breakfast). The hotel is located in a quiet residential district but is also quite close to the shopping district (about 15 walk) and is not far from the Kyoto Station. However, getting to and from the Kyoto station with luggage may not be convenient (apparently you’re not allowed to bring your large luggage on a bus). I recommend a taxi ride, which cost us 1200 yen (plus 300 if you pre book it—which we did when we checked out). The hotel staff are polite and professional. Some hotel staff may not be very good in English but it should be fine with Google Translate / Chat GPT.

We love Kyoto a lot. From Granbell annex, we've access to Jr, Keihan and Hankyu lines which brought us to Nara, Okayama, Takamatsu, Hiroshima, Himeiji, Uji, Minoo, Hirakatashi, Osaka and Kobe. We also took sightseeing trains to Tsuyama and Onomichi. We also enjoyed our morning walks to Kyoto station, Kiyomizu dera and Fushimi Inari. We're thankful for inhouse coin laundry and cosme amenities. We hope cleaning services can improve as we're missing trash bags, toilet paper, slippers, towels, beverages some days. Thank you for pleasant 15 nights.
