A week stay

We started going here in 2019 and it was a a really nice place to stay. We were there for a week this tome and they never came in our room to tidy up one time. The restaurant isn't open and hot tubs were down for most of the week. We booked a suite with kitchenette and there were no dishes to cook with. We will be looking for another hotel when we go back

Check in was quick The room was clean. Overall. It was a great stay. My only gripe was the hair dryer didn't work and I had a wedding to go to so I needed to wash my hair but I couldn't dry it but it wasn't a deal-breaker I saw gnat here and there also wasn't a deal-breaker but overall the room was clean. No smell. It was a good stay

The family vacay

The staff is very nice and the pools where fun the only thing every year my family stay here for a family trip and every year either the pool is broke or jacuzzi never working at the same time the water in the shower smelled terrible it broke my daughters face out and they don’t have any snack machines and the tiki bar always close and there is a big for sale sign out front which made me very uncomfortable

This place is so outdated! In desperate need of a paint job and better signage of the area. I was just going to enjoy the beach and some good food, relaxation. Well the rooms aren’t the best just seems so old. The doors need better locks more visible room numbers on the doors. You have no where on the premises to eat but it looks like at one point you did. Empty places where I guess there once was something there. Needs new rugs and just an over haul. The description of this place is so deceiving and would have left had I found somewhere else to go. The place is for sale so I hope someone will invest some more money and give this place a needed facelift. Then as we were chilling in our room we heard a knock and someone tried to enter the room! Instantly called front desk and they found out that it was maintenance coming to check something he had fixed the day before! Talk about pissed off! I instantly requested a room change

Meh...

The overall property was good. Easy check in process, very friendly. The rooms were pretty cheap, so I wasnt expecting it to be great, but the room itself was kind of a dissapointment. Beds were soft and the room was clean-ish, but extremely outdated. The bathtub needs to be replaced. It looked like it was moldy, but I think the coating was just wearing off of the bottom. The table and cabinets were straight out of the 90s. TVs were small with analog remotes that didnt let you use the features. Balcony was small. Also the silverware supplied was 1 fork and 2 butter knives. Fridge was very old, barely kept anything cold. Overall, it was okay for a 1 night stay, but would pay the extra money for a nicer room for a longer stay.

Sandcastle resort 9/12-9/14: wouldn’t recommend

Several issues: -fire pit not working - no luggage Dollies. Had to pull suitcases upstairs. Not suitable for people with disabilities. - bathroom fluorescent lightbulbs only flickered. Only a Single regular small light worked. Had to hold flashlight for my girlfriend to put on her makeup. When the guy came, he said it was the ballast but didn’t fix it. The day we left, the lights began coming on on their own after a few seconds. - asked for wash cloths 3 times in 12 hours. Were told they didn’t have any. Lady at front desk said she wasn’t housekeeping & wasn’t over them. -TV remote didn’t work, so maintenance guy had to bring another one-needed 2 remotes for TV control - no alcohol signs were posted Everywhere but we smelled marijuana everywhere everyday. In the halls, elevators, on the beach. -all 3 hot tubs/jacuzzis had signs saying they were closed all weekend. We were told they were working on the electricity. But the last night we saw people in it, & it worked fine but the signs were still there. - a sign had fell off at the elevator on the 9th floor. It laid there all weekend

do not stay. not worth the cheap money.

The staff at the front desk was beyond welcoming to begin with. We checked in and went up stairs to check our room and found 3 huge live bed bugs in the room on the murphy bed. Both of the air condition units were shattered in certain areas. When we contacted the front desk to let them know we would be leaving asap they stated they would be charging us for one night and we could get a return of the remainder. She was not happy with us needing a return of our money and became hostile. We were just trying to get the money back so we could try to find somewhere clean to stay. She stated there was no manager on duty and before she left, she told her not to refund any money to us. The gentleman came up to take pictures of the bugs and said yes, this unit needs to be shut down and cleaned stat. Overall it was awful for the small bit we were at the hotel. The hot tubs were down, the pools indoor and outdoor and lazy river was freezing. It was just awful.

It started off bad because we were supposed to have a room with a full sized refrigerator. We brought 250 worth of groceries with us because we were staying for 10 days. I was very upset and looking for other options. The woman in charge that night was really awesome and within a few hours we had a new room with a full size refrigerator. The rooms are fairly clean. There is no cooking utensils or dishes. We brought our own. The price was very affordable. I really wish I remembered the woman that helped us to give her a shout of thanks!

This place is a joke, you have to call housekeeping 24 hrs in advance just to get a room clean, there was no dishes, silverware or anything to eat off. This place went downhill big time. Also the housekeepers are very rude to customers
