The sink drain pipe leaked on the floor so I had to use my limited towels for that. The WiFi did not work and the representative at the counter “did not know how the system worked”. The ice machine was broken so I had to walk across the street and upstairs for ice. The hot tub was broken as well. The place was basically a rundown property that was barely habitable. Would not recommended.

Please don't come to that hotel late.

Wasn't able to get inside the hotel. Even the hotel confirmed my booking the lobby was closed. I called the number which was listed on the paper attached to the lobby door. The manager told me that he is not willing to come to the hotel and give me the key from my room. I had to book another hotel

Upon getting there I had to switch rooms twice. 1st time because a/c didn’t work, then tv-cable didn’t work in second room. 3rd room was better but, had a leaking fridge and heat lamp in rest room was broken and lamp next to bed was inop.

Nossa experiência foi bastante problemática.

Nossa estadia nesta estabelecimento foi bastante problemática. Chegamos à noite cansados de uma viagem, e após o check in deixamos nossas malas no quarto e saímos para jantar. Ao retornar, a porta do quarto não abria mais. O Recepcionista tentou resolver a situação mas também não conseguiu abrir a porta. Entrou em contato com o responsável pelo estabelecimento, que nos sugeriu que dormíssemos em outro quarto pois a situação só poderia ser resolvida pela manhã, e nos ofereceu 50% de reembolso na tarifa da hospedagem como forma de minimizar o transtorno. Aceitamos e ficamos em outro quarto, sem nossas roupas, pijamas, escova de dentes e outros itens de uso pessoal necessários. Pela manhã nos levantamos tarde (9h) para dar tempo de deixarem tudo pronto mas nada havia sido feito e nossos pertences pessoais ainda estavam trancados. Só então a recepcionista da manhã telefonou para o responsável que foi até o local abrir a porta para que pudéssemos acessar nossas roupas, tomar banho e seguir viagem. Por fim, o desconto prometido não foi concedido, fomos enganados.

Good place for a family to stay

Nothing fancy, but the room was clean and beds comfortable, and front desk staff were friendly. The location is quiet and in walking distance of downtown. We stayed in a family suite. The TV in the second room wasn't able to show anything and the lamp in the corner of the main room wasn't working (same room and same issues as last time), but these were minor issues.

Utterly disappointed by missing amenities

Plagued with issues, my stay at Lamplighter could have been made exponentially better had the management not been so unprofessional. The list of issues was long, and when I tried to communicate them to management, I was met with hostility and no understanding. I had cold/lukewarm water the entirety of my stay, the tv didn’t even work, no stopper for the tub (which I couldn’t use anyways with no hot water), the pool and hot tub were bright green with algae, and there was actually a pair of dirty underwear left beside the bed that housekeeping did not find and remove prior to my checking in. All of these things are unfortunate, but the worst part was being berated by management when I tried for the third time to communicate these issues. I would advise no one to stay at Lamplighter. The room looks nice in photos but with so many hotels in SLO, it’s better to spend your money elsewhere.

Could Use Some TLC

It was ok for a place to sleep and shower. The hot water ran out around 10am. Some horrible black gunk backed up into the sink while we slept. The heat lamp made a noise like an air raid siren. Housekeeping only left one washcloth and no hand towels. On the plus side the room was clean and the staff was nice.
