Set expectations low - does the job
I arrived late and when I got to my initial room, located in the old part of the hotel, it was a lot more run down than I was expecting. The windows were open and hard to close and it felt very dated and grubby.
I went to shower and found it a) didnt mount on the wall in a fashion that meant i could wash my hair properly and b) had a split in the hose so water didnt even come out the shower head
I packed up and went back downstairs. Julie at reception was very lovely and helpful and moved my room which was also an upgrade due to there being no more "classic" rooms.
The new room was in the newer extension and felt better but the bathroom still felt very grubby with the shower curtain in desperate need of a change and a toilet with a flush that didnt work well. It was ok for what i needed though and was cheap
Unsure how its ranked 3 stars though.
