Perfect for Alaska Highway travellers

Comfortable room, though dated. View out the back window is spectacular. WiFi and smart tv options are good. Looks like renovation/repair work is in progress around the property. Restaurant hours not predictable off season (I travelled mid-April, season begins in May). Great location for travelers going to or from Alaska Highway.

Did not like that we didn’t control our own heat. The owners were very nice and promptly changed it for us, but it was a pain. Got there it was too hot, they turned it down for us then we had to ask them to turn it back up because we had coats on and we’re still cold. We are not picky on temperature. Dinner was good - not sure when they opened for breakfast because we ate elsewhere.

View from the room were lovely. The motel needs to update their lighting. There was only an overhead light by the door and a tiny lamp by the bed. I could hardly see into my bag to find my socks. The atmosphere and comfort of the room would be greatly improved if modern, fresh, new LED lighting was installed on the ceiling in the middle of the room.

A déconseiller. Lors de la réservation, sur le site indiqué que le déjeuner était compris mais il semblerait que non et n'apparait plus avec déjeuner compris. Cela a pris 45 minutes pour avoir notre déjeuner, c'est très long pour des oeufs et bacon (qui était trop cuit). Pas le contrôle du chauffage dans la chambre avec un -3 degré durant la nuit.

Straightforward and simple motel that was perfect for my quick hiking trip to Kluane Park. Easy access and clean room. Convenient restaurant on the property, so I didnt have to go out looking for dinner after a day on the trails nor again in the morning before departure.

This is an old motel but it was reasonably priced. It allows pets so if you are allergic, as I am- I don’t care how well they clean, I am going to have a reaction. My main complaint is that you can’t lock your door from the inside, so anyone with a key can access your room. That’s a big safety issue in my opinion.

Unfortunately we were very disappointed with this booking. Repairs had been done around the tub, but were very shoddy. The curtains were coming off the hooks. The front porch had dirty rug on it, and the proprietors at check in were not friendly.

One of the better hotel/motel in HJ. Older property that was probably a man camp during construction of the road. Adequate, good beds, clean and tidy. Nice folks who run it. Reasonable rates.
