The air conditioner was broken for the entire building during EU summer holiday season, and apparently could only be repaired by some "society of air conditioner repair workers" -- who, of course, were all on vacation during the hottest time of the year. The minibar fridge was definitely not very eco-friendly. It has enough space for about 4 bottles of wine, max, while the rest of the appliance contains the mechanics. It only keeps things at about 24 C, while generating a lot of excess heat that vents out of the cabinet it is placed in -- and this heat goes into the room, making it more awful when the air conditioner is broken.
The staff did the best they could to deal with the situation, but I do not think Accor is managing contingency plans or their room designs very well. I expected a better experience from a mid-tier hotel.
