Property is stunning. Current construction with a new bar kept the restaurant open only limited days. And seemed open for only breakfast on Sunday which is the day we arrived. There are several close food options in BR. Just plan accordingly for meals or bring food in with you to avoid being tired on your day of arrival.

Lesley two messages with the front desk calls were not returned. Front desk attendant were very cold almost robotic other than one new your women who was great. We would pass front desk in the morning or entering the lobby they wouldn’t even look up. At dinner the food was not very good the server EJ was wonderful. Breakfast was good, I’m a tough customer as I hate to receive frozen items I could microwave myself at home. Sausage we microwaved jimmy dean as the bacon was also. The entire property is beautiful but it has aged without much updating. We gave it 4 stars as the one friendly front desk person upgrade our room as it was our wedding anniversary and we had requested a balcony room and they didn’t not have one At check in and upgraded us to a very nice room. We would return just know what to expand you check in. The Propert was clean and everything worked just felt like we were back in 1999.

The buildings and grounds of this historic resort are beautiful. We had issues with the plumbing and in-room appliances in our original room which the staff was slow to correct. It seems that room maintenance is not a high priority. I got the impression that we were initially assigned a lesser quality room (due to booking on Hotels.com?) and the staff was reticent to change it. We were also disappointed by the limited days/hours for the restaurant and bar.

Chetola is a beautiful property in need of some updates. We stayed in the main lodge building. Restaurant currently closed for renovation. Thermostat in our room was non working. Hot tub needed maintenance. Room was comfortable and would consider returning, especially after renovations are completed.

Beautiful location and very nice hotel. My room was not ready at check-in time so the young lady at the front desk was kind enough to put me into a different room. Unfortunately the restaurant was not open nor was it open the following day which is not convenient at all for guests. The hot water was not working in the bathroom and apparently there were a few complaints from other guests as well. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable.

Rooms were very nice. Comfortable beds. Wonderful staff. Had yummy breakfast at Timberlake restaurant. Beautiful restaurant with stone and woodwork and fireplaces. Had picnic by the lake for our dinner. Three disappointments: Made lunch reservations at Timberlake’s on arrival day. Confirmed through Resy. Restaurant was CLOSED! Also, several geese and swans by lake. Be careful where you step on grassy areas. Wish I’d paid extra for room with balcony facing lake. We had no balcony and overlooked parking lot. Nice indoor pool with older wooden deck just outside. Great location to beautiful Blowing Rock!
