Good location and great staff

The hotel location is good, situated in the old Town area it is less than 10 mins to the Blue Mosque and all the si ff h t scenic place. The hotel is clean and I was upgrade to a junior suite which was huge. Staff was friendly and they also allowed me for a late check out as well. The breakfast was good with a lot of local choice. I am very happy with the hotel.

Location is great, less than 10minutes walk from Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque through some slopes. Great sea view where you have breakfast. Staffs are mostly guys, very nice and helpful with organising local tours. Very good first experience of Istanbul.

Great hotel

Very nice hotel in the wonderful city of Istanbul. Nice quiet location within a quick walk of lots of excellent bars and restaurant. Servet and Faith on reception were most kind and helpful. The room cleaning was excellent with a special mention to Merve who did an amazing job.

Our stay here was truly amazing and was one of the highlights of our trip. The customer service was second to none, and the staff could not do enough for us. We had a swift and efficient check in and we were welcomed with traditional Turkish tea, and a kind, warm, homely service. I would like to thank the following staff for making our trip so special. Servet, Ferhat and Fatih provided exemplary service and they are a credit to the hotel. The cleanliness of the room was impeccable and just want to say a big thank you to Merve, especially for the beautiful swan arrangement! We look forward to coming back sometime!

From the minute we booked, the hotel contacted us on WhatsApp to offer assistance with transportation from the airport which was well priced and helpful. It’s a good hour from the airport to downtown. The hotel has super clean and stylish rooms, really comfortable beds, aircon, plentiful fluffy towels, complimentary tea and coffee and safe in the room. They serve a wide ranging breakfast buffet selection to cater to guests of all nationalities in a dining room with sea facing terrace. Staff honestly could not be any more friendly and helpful. They can arrange transportation and excursions. The Bosphorus boat tour is a must, lovely way to see the city. By the way the hotel is in the lower part of Sultanahmet, 5 mins walk to the river walk, only slightly more up to the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace and Blue Mosque and perfectly positioned to explore the city. I cannot single out any individual because so many people helped us and I can’t remember them all. Sincere good service in a lovely little boutique hotel. Highly recommended!!

I have just returned from my 2nd visit to Royan Hotel Hagia Sophia in 6 months. For me this hotel is undeniably the best hotel in Sultanahmet From my arrival to departure I can say I was treated in such a friendly and professional manner by all staff. The hotel is immaculately clean, bedroom was so comfortable and the unlimited free tea was amazing. A couple of staff deserve a special mention; Merve (housekeeping) is such a friendly smiley girl who is so hardworking and serviced my room beautifully each day. I loved that she allowed me to practice what little Turkish I had with her. An absolute gem of an employee who carries her job out with the utmost professionalism Servet (reception) remembered me from my previous visit and was extremely welcoming when I met him. Loved that he would arrange for me to have Turkish tea with him before I retired to bed at night and our conversations are a memory I will treasure. He is just such a friendly gentleman and also the little touch of giving me a gift of Turkish tea to bring home was just precious. I honestly cannot waiting plan my return trip later this year and highly recommend this hotel if you are planning to visit Istanbul. Thank you, yet again, to all the team at Royan Hotwl Hagia Sophia for an unforgettable stay
