This property is breathtaking. The view from our room was gorgeous, espically at night.. stargazing beyond belief. The service is on Island time as to be expected. Jose is the best. We loved the wild horses and strongly suggest renting a jeep. Would recommend the food and drinks here as well!

The hotel is set on an absolutely beautiful piece of property. Unfortunately the furniture was very stained, so much so, we didn’t sit on the chairs or couch in our room. There was also no door to the bathroom which we do isn’t like.

We have to cancel because of medical reasons. It was the only hotel or airline that did not reimburse us. They did not answer the email concerning the case. When I talked to them they told me to talk to Expedia, and Expedia told me to talk to them. They were unkind and the whole experience was very frustrating.

Restaurant in hotel is expensive, but you can walked out and a bar and convenience store just next to the exit. The beach is beautiful. The road from hotel buildings to exit to the street is not paved and long and every customer complained about it. You need vehicle to anywhere else, but taxi is not on time at night at this island, especially if you reserved ahead, the driver know you have to wait for them and prioritize other customer

Tropical oasis on a wonderful beach

It is an amazing place offering a cool chic tropical atmosphere, particularly enjoyable in low season. Swimming in the pool next to the wild horses is quite an experience, the beach next to the property is deserted and very beautiful. Service is thoughtful and dedicated. Restaurant ok but overpriced, the property is barely walking distance from town, no transportation offered. Also some revamping necessary.

Our experience on Blue Horizon was above the expected. The staff's attention was incredible. The food was great. One of my friends didn't feel well and, from front desk to the chef, all made everything they could to make her feel better. The chef made a special soup just for her. Lillian, Petra, Yadiel, Keysha, the cleaning personnel and the administration; all of them made us feel welcome and taken care off. We are looking forward to coming back.

Nothing but potential

It makes me so sad to say this because when initially arriving to the property it is so gorgeous and breathtaking. Dave is so kind and warm and welcoming. He really made me give this location more stars because he really is the best. After initially being told that early check in was possible the day before we arrived at the location to be told no and had to wait 2 and a half hours. It was heavy rain and we were the only people there and the front desk grew rude and impatient with us when we mentioned we were told early check in was possible, that our room would be waiting for us so what were we waiting for exactly? Wild horses roam the property which adds to the esthetic but no one maintains the pathways that are covered in their dung and at night there are no lights so it is like landmines. The room lacks essential needs like hot water, working electrical ports, the refrigerator didnt work, and there is no microwave not only in the room but on the property for public use. You can tell the rooms need to be maintained and upgraded and it is possible Maria really devastated this location and they are still recovering. My boyfriend and I walked around the property and it is beautiful, even the beach is lovely but there is no easy access to it because all stairs have been destroyed. Again with some money and TLC this property could be so much better especially for the price. The pictures on the website oversell the rooms.
